EXACTLY. Such a masculine pretty boy with a high pitch singing voice. nobody could punk this dude around. he made that quite clear. people like to think pretty boys like him are soft. like I said-very manly guy. I love it. ^,^ ^,^
+SaeHa Park I've become obsessed with him as if he just hit the scene. ^,^ I guess I never really paid that much attention to him all those years before. I actually thought he was a blond. xD
Agreed! That face with the almost translucent skin and the strawberry red hair and that masculine voice and those blue eyes......definitley something angelic going on.
Axl is the pure image of Rock N Roll! he doesn't care what the fuck others think about him and that's what i admire of him besides to me he is the best front man of all times.
I've always thought that about him I personally hate how so many people hate Axl but to me the way he was it was rock n' roll he just didn't give a fuck and that's way to go.
Michael Hutchence said something similar in an interview as well... The interviewer commented on whether or not Jim Morrison was a big influence on him and the band. Hutchence replied "who's that", or something similar lol.
myjungleismassive1 It's pretty easy for people to jump on the "Axl's a douchebag" bandwagon and call him that, but I'm betting the majority don't even know why they're saying that about him. Because he goes on stage late? Kanye West is a fucking douchebag, Bieber's a douchebag, Axl's a rock n roll star
Powerpig02 with stage 4 piccolo age will do that to someone. Everyone looks different after 30 years. Plus you can still tell it’s him if you look at his face, it’s just more aged and bloated, but it’s still his.
he was very attractive even most guys we admit it. He had everything great voice, charisma performance etc. too bad his career ended prematurely mid 90s. Could done more IMO
Eric E yes he could have done so many more amazing things. Created new songs, given amazing performances, idk it's just a bummer how it all ended abruptly. He had such potential.
yes and indeed. Like not sure if you've heard their song 'you could be mine'. I remember as a child I was immediately mesmerised by his voice on that song and since then haven't heard a voice like his. His looks did deteriorate quite quickly since 1991 which even as a guy I found disappointing because he was like a symbol to me on masculinity
Eric E i love that song. Yes that has always been my point, his voice is so unique, I'm yet to hear someone that sounds like him and can master it like he did. The first song I heard as to me knowing it was them was locomotive and I instantly fell in love. He was considered very attractive back in his days and now all most people do is make fun of how he looks which is pretty bogus. I think no matter how he looks, as long as he being himself he's gnarly. Sad thing is he's not even doing that anymore, his attitude was so awesome. He didn't give a shit and just did whatever he wanted, dressed how he wanted, and sang about whatever he wanted. Now I don't know. It's disappointing.
If you listen carefully, izzy said "yeah,..." and something else. He did agree with axl and said something, that's why the reporter asked him if he was going to say something.
You still can and should express your opinions. It’s even easier today, because you can talk directly to the people. You don’t have to have an interview or whatever. Sure, if you can’t deal with criticism or have no idea of how to express yourself authentically, you’d have a hard time on Twitter etc.
@@charlesblanton1008 They drove themselves into the ground with heroin... first it was Adler who destroyed his life with Heroin, which meant they lost the perfect drummer to jam with Duff, as Duff and Sorum were never as tight as Adler and Duff, at least not on GNR songs... and then Izzy got sober and realized that he was surounded by a bunch of drunk and drugged up idiots, so he quit. Which means they lost one of their key songwriters...
This is/was the best and funniest interview I've ever seen in my life. Axl, oh my, what a diamond. Who could be so honest and yet so cute today when saying things like: " Have you got anything in common with Iron Maiden?" Axl: " I hope not" and then: "They do what they do I don't know what it is and I hope to never be like that". ROFL
When I was a child I loved Superheroes, but when I grew up a little I realized that they are unreal and fictional, until one day I saw Guns N' Roses on TV, then I realized that Axl is the real Superman, but the strength of this Superman is in his voice. I am very sorry that today in 2022 Superman sounds like he ate kryptonite, but regardless he is a legend and a hero for all time. He took risks and in the end gave his strength to make the earth a better place for humanity

A lot of people have a negative view of Axl Rose because of his attitude, his arrogance, etc, and to an extent I agree, however...I don't think I've ever really heard his side of things. We've all heard what everyone else has to say, but let's be honest: is he really any different from any other rockstar, much less frontman? As a rock singer, I'll be the first to admit, I'm a bit dramatic, moody, and short-fused lol. It kinda comes with the territory, and Axl is one of the most famous rock singers ever, so I can only imagine how epic those things were for him, I mean the guy was 25 when they got big...show me any 25 yo man that would keep his shit together after making it big like that lol.
"have you got anything in common with iron maiden?" axl: (nonchalantly) "i hope not" *sips from can in the coolest way possible* lmao i love this man, i love how he always has that "i don't even give a fuck" face
U člancima časopisa iz devedesitih sam našao da se ne voli slikati, exponirati niti davati intervijue....ali zato piše predobre pjesme i rastura gitaru...
OK but what if there are some that don't want to listen to loud music? Being in a nursing home will be stressful enough and not everyone will want to listen to loud music.
His sexiness makes it hard to concentrate on the interview, but what he says is actually very interesting. Besides being super talented and sexy as hell, Axl has always been superiorly intelligent. He's definitely right when he says that bands like Nirvana were like political organization. Nirvana started the political correctness trend in the music industry. Kurt started being super aggressive toward GNR, and even if the term didn't exit at the time, accused them of "toxic masculinity". Kurt despised masculinity and not questioning his genius, but his behavior towards GNR was totally unfair. I agree with Axl when he says musical acts shouldn't become too political. Look at what music has become today.
I feel kurt and axl have same attitude and personality. They’re both don’t have great childhood and they’re both obsessed about death and guns. They’re both similar behavior. Both lonely and depressed. Unfortunately, before kurt dead they’re not chance patch things up each other.
@@SL-vk3bi Hahaha I like your analysis :-) They are both very tormented guys with childhood trauma. However, I don't think Kurt was obsessed with guns. Kurt was anti-macho and a leftist at heart. I would say he was a social justice warrior (though he would definitely disagree with the left today). He hated the patriarchy, and I'm pretty sure that his skinny androgynous self had been bullied by macho types in high school. That's why he hated the traditionally macho culture in rock'n'roll. Guns'n'roses being a perfect incarnation of it. What I find ironic is that his angry macho side was expressed in his music. The pure anger, angst and violence expressed in his music is deeply masculine to me. On the other hand, Axl was raised in Indiana. When he was bullied and called "a girl", he would fight. So I think he responded differently to bullying. He became "super-macho". One of my favorite story being that when Axl crossed path with Kurt once, he told him : "I could have ended up like you". So he knew they had a lot in common but chose different paths. Sorry for the long comment. I just like talking about them. They're so iconic. ☺
what axl said wasn't that iron maiden is political, he was making an analogy as if to say they have a completely different ideology to making music than they do. Which is true. And to address your point about music becoming too political, art and social/political issues always have and always will intersect. Whether it be the protest songs of bob dylan or the socially aware literature of charles dickens. To say that this is a new trend in music is ignorant. Something I would argue, however, is that popular music has become increasingly linked to a certain faction of the Hollywood elite fake-woke zeitgeist.
Axl was so sweet and uncorrupted and his smile was priceless. Why Oh Why did things have to change? :( :( Someone pleeeeeease give me a "Time Machine" -that's all I want.
Juliette Gréco It's painfully obvious to see that Axl HAS calmed down since his hay day. A friend of mine went to one of his shows and said that Axl even pokes fun at his former self now. He doesn't rant on stage...hasn't had an 'incident' in years. And I'm sorry but, if his relationships with 'all those people' (and I assume you mean, Slash, Duff, Steven, Izzy, possibly Stephanie and Erin even?) ended soooo terribly, than Izzy and Duff wouldn't still work with him. Izzy stands in sometimes, Izzy helped write some stuff on Chinese Democracy. Duff stood in for one of the members for like a month at the beginning of the year. Axl's relationship with Steven ended terribly because of Steven; Steven wouldn't get off drugs, and when Axl was with Erin, Steven had a hand and nearly killing her. Slash...No one knows the full story on, and no one ever will because EVERYONE is going to be biased about the whole thing. Stephanie cheated on him, and both admit to assaulting EACH OTHER. And if Erin's relationship was sooooo horrible, then she wouldn't post things on her instagram like old photos of her and Axl with hashtags like "amazing, amazing time, first love, forgiveness." Axl is, to say the least, extremely misunderstood. EVERYONE knows he had a temper, so you'd think the AUDIENCE would be smart enough not to buy tickets to one of his shows just to piss him off. But they don't. and then they end up wasting their own money, and the rest of the audiences money just because they wanted to see Axl 'freak out.' At any rate, it takes two to tango...and it's not all Axl's fault that the rest of the band left--and half of the Appetite line-up didn't leave on bad terms.
Juliette Gréco He is, by NO MEANS, a 'bloody awful person.' I'm not going to sit here and say I know indefinitely how he feels, because I don't know the man, but look at the life he has been through. There are people who come from similar backgrounds as his, and turn out to be killers, and rapists...THOSE are terrible people. Axl is simply a rockstar with a temper, and though everyone SAYS he has an ego, seems to have the lowest of self-esteem, especially now. Watching people's videos of meeting him, he often makes poor comments about HIMSELF. For example; A woman told him she had been a fan of his since he was 9 years old, and he replied back with, "I'm sorry." Or a fan had told him she loved him, and he replied back with, "Honey, if you knew me, you'd hate me." He KNOWS exactly what he is, and HE seems to beat himself over it more than anyone in the world. Like I said, I don't know this indefinitely, but those don't sound like comments made by an 'egotist.' So he blames Slash, Duff, and Stephanie for his lack of inspiration, that was one time. Let's not forget in the Rolling Stones interview where he pretty much opens up about his entire past, and then closes the interview with..."This isn't to make excuses." And let's also not forget that we're talking to a man who would spend six hours on the phone with his therapist doing psychotherapy--does that sound like a man who 'doesn't want to change?' How would I feel? Well let's think about it this way... Axl Rose, who the band is named after (along with Tracii Guns), is the ONLY member who has been there since the very, very, very beginning. The band didn't start with Slash, Duff OR Steven--Izzy and Axl were the only ones from the Appetite line-up who were part of the roots of the band, and then Izzy left, making Axl the ONLY member to be there since the very beginning. As far as I'm concerned, it IS his band. Yeah, the other guys were GREAT in the band--but he was made the band what it is. And as I mentioned before--even though he's the only original member left, he still maintains friendships with Izzy and Duff. The current members seem to have nothing but nice things to say about the man now. Obviously, you don't know anything about Axl and Stephanie's relationship...Beta (who now works with Axl) started out as a nanny for Stephanie Seymour's son. She did an interview where she explained the majority of Axl and Stephanie's relationship. She never once mentioned her being abused by him (Axl and Stephanie BOTH admit that there was one instance where he shoved her--or kicked her, can't remember--and she grabbed his balls), nor did she ever mention any infidelity on Axl's behave. By this time Axl was sober, and Stephanie was not. Beta claims Stephanie cheated on him numerous times. Now isn't it odd that Beta would start out as a nanny for a woman who is likely just as rich as Axl, and end up leaving that woman and her child to help him out? He can't be THAT awful if Beta was willing to take his side on the whole thing... At any rate, Axl's break up with Stephanie not only caused him to lose her, but her son who he had gotten extremely attached to. He was obviously hurt, because most of the songs on Chinese Democracy were about her. The only two women who have claimed abuse from Axl are Stephanie Seymour, and Erin Everly. I don't want to write Erin off, but she claims abuse from a lot of her exes, yet she is the one with a domestic violence charge on her record...And once again as I said, if he was THAT bad, she wouldn't still be posting about him.... No one's kissing his ass--everyone knows he has ISSUES, but to sit here and call him a 'bloody awful person' is a bit much. That's fine...I just wanted to make a few things clear. Have a good night.
Jiji 😁 😍
Redbull wouldn't be on the scene for another 15 years lol. You must be younger than I am... We didn't always have Redbull, kid, that's a relatively new thing.
@DnB and Psy Production ~ I lived in Las Vegas from 2000-2005. The single best seller of Red Bull in the U.S., at least for a bit, was the Hard Rock there. I remember when RB came around, at least in common availability. One bartender said to me, "The drunks used to go to sleep. Now they stay up." It wasn't a compliment. :-) That was early aughts. I'm not sure what day Red Bull first sold in the U.S., but I do remember the timing of when it became commonly available.
