Hey guys, since i have made the axolotls. So here's another video tutorial for our axolotl dragon! I really like the style for the dragon with an axolotl. You can make them brown too, any colors you want to pick for your dragon. #Axolotldragon #Artdoll #Artist
For the brand of the hot glue sticks i used is Artellius, it is the pretty strong hot glue sticks. And it has the purple-ish clear color too. I would recommend it, but it also emits a bit of odors, so be careful. Here's a link on where i bought them.

By head and the foot, I use hot glue to make these for my art dolls. So it might be impossible for you make for your art dolls. And you might not able deal with the heating because the hot glue is very hot. I use water to tap on the hot glue while drying to prevent from sticking. I sometimes share tutorials of how to make head and feet for art doll with hot glue. Using the hot glue is my way of making art dolls. Using the hot glue is optional so i recommend using light clay to make your art dolls. And Inspiration is okay.

Oh i didn't know axolotls are dragons of water. But technically this dragon is an axolotl inspired dragon. I've seen few people creates axolotl inspired dragons so I decide to make one too. Good question, It depends on sizes, i use paper to sketch out designs for any eye types, i also traces around the glass domes to make the perfect circle for where the eye designs should be. I was also thinking about making the video tutorial for making custom glass eye designs for art doll beginners but i haven't got times to do it yet. So yeah i'll see if i can get a chance to make a video for custom glass eye designs.

You made the head from hotglue?

Yep I did! It takes time to work with that but you'll need to be very careful too because hot glue is very hot. I would draw out the pattern shape for the head first and trace it on the baking paper sheet. Then fill in the head shape in all four pieces, top, bottom, and both sides. I recommend using water to assemble the hot glue head pieces together to prevent the fingers from being sticked by the hot glue, and tap to prevent from being burned. And be careful by the melting hot glue while decorating the head piece. So it is quite hard to work with hot glue for making the heads and the claws for my art dolls. For easier process, you can use any type of clay to make the head and the claws. 🙂
