Firstly, I want to appreciate the interviewee's (AY) transparency and humility on his relationship with basketmouth. He sounded so authentic in giving his truth. Secondly, I didn't understand the second part of the show where Chude is asking him a question that is disjointed from the first statement he made. I just got completely confused.

Please basket mouth needs to be allowed to tell his own part of the story pls we. Need to hear this completely

Okay, I listened to both of them. AY did the right thing at the time because he was broke but that put an end to the relationship. They don’t have to be enemies though. Let them remain neutral. No way I will ever be friends with someone that forwarded my text messages to a client. They are both blessed so nothing to worry about. Forgive each other but remain neutral.

AY is a self made star. Basketmouth is a self made star. This nonsense beef just shows how sometimes wealth and fame makes people bitter and sad. I respect both AY and Basketmouth but at the same time I think they are being immature fuelling the beef, even talking about it. I don't think there is anything wrong in AY saying "Basketmouth and I go back a long time ago. We both made mistakes. But we have made it, we have become institutions and role models for others. If I offended Basketmouth, I apologise. And I also forgive him if he offended me. Let's us celebrate what we have achieved and what we will achieve tomorrow". There is also nothing that stops Basketmouth from saying 'AY and I have known each other for a long time. The problem here is that you have not admitted you were wrong for going to exchange numbers, calling and forwarding chats. That doesn’t show loyalty. In my opinion, you lied because you said that at the end, the client was impressed and collected your contact. How did Basket get to know that the client was not impressed. Na you collect number but that’s aside. Secondly, if you admitted you were wrong, you will not go to him in club and say God has blessed two of us, let’s forget the matter. Even you are bigger than him, it doesn’t stop you from saying SORRY BRO. That’s the problem here in my opinion. Make una leave my BASKET.

AY was wrong to have shared both messages, that’s not good at all. He could have pressed for his pay from Basketmouth without letting the client know what’s going on. It’s only when he persists on not giving him his pay for like a month or so, that he could escalate it. Basketmouth was wrong as well, if the story is true., but we need to hear his side.

We were on the same flight once. I saw him in the lounge but wasn’t sure. Then while on the flight there was a hotspot named AY 😂😂😂😂😂 Then when we got to Atlanta I ran into him. I said AY Makun as we approached each other. He smiled and offered to take pictures. Such a gentleman.

LOYALTY, that's what life is all about. If your narrative is true, then you were disloyal to one who was your boss at that point in time. You messed up by sharing the message with the other person, that singular act could destroy the relationship Basket must have built. I think AY told the truth. He admitted to sending basketmouth's messages to the client which must have been the source of the problem. I hope basketmouth paid him his $30k for the following reasons: 1) AY worked for it 2) Basketmouth has major issues with people who refused to pay him earlier in his career 3) Basketmouth fully understands what it means to be broke....He invested quite a bit in "leggedes benz" when he started off his career Most importantly, these guys (AY and Baskrtmouth) need to let go of what happened because life is too short to go aorund beefing people and also because they are 2 of Africa's finest and most revered entertainers.
