Good to see you, Stormie! Favorite truth: "You think you know shit and you don't know shit." Fact.😊

I’ve watched a lot of Aya videos and I appreciate your unique approach to it. This felt more like a personal convo with a friend and less like a “GUESS WHAT I DID SO COOL!” or preach-fest the way a lot of other Aya vids land. I appreciate you, Stormie.

Thanks, I don’t ever want to be a preachy RU-vidr. Feel free to check me if that ever happens

This is so interesting - I really appreciate your explanations and view on things, I really feel like you come from a grounded and 'real' place which is usually where I best understand things from. I'm so glad the algorithm (thx universe) pointed me in your direction 😊

I am Brazilian and live in the Brazilian Amazon, and have done ayuashka once, so far. But my partner is Peruvian, and we may move to Peru, to one of the most well known places in Peruvian Amazon for ayuashka. My experience was very healing and beautiful. I come from a Freemason family (grandfather, father, brother, and my now partner as well, by coincidence). My experience was with Freemasons only, and a few of their partners, including me. It was great to feel safe and surrounded by family (as masons all see themselves as brothers, their wives as sisters in law and etc). I highly recommend it, if you find a reputable place, where you feel safe to try it. If I do move to Peru, I plan on doing it again someday.

I just came across your channel Well looking for solstice ideas. and I really really enjoy it! I was just talking about this very subject, I have struggled with some very major mental and physical health issues since childhood and Ayahuasca is something I’ve been very interested in but also very terrified of because just pot makes me feel like I’m going to be obliterated from existence. But I feel like our culture just ruins anything sacred. I’ve actually been doing the Ayahuasca Microdosing, (which is not psychedelic and is just the vine and might just be BS,) but I was grossed out to realize that a lot of the vendors were multi level marketing crap with freaking Ayahuasca . One of them was the same people that own doterra essential oils, which are great essential oils, but again it’s like a multi level marketing thing. Capitalism and deep shadow work and spiritualism just really don’t mix in my opinion. That JP Sears guy has a hilarious video about this topic and bro shamans!

Not saying ayahuasca won’t also make you feel like you’re going to be “obliterated from existence” only that perhaps after being obliterated you won’t be afraid of it anymore. Our culture isn’t ruining things, humans have lost touch. It’s okay, these things ebb and flow and we are now relearning what we’ve lost connection with. That’s why it’s here in the west, to remind us. I do think you have to be careful about who you go with but there are amazing places in the US. If you have Instagram, I always share upcoming ceremonies around the country that are taking place with people that I know to be trust worthy. There is a highlight reel on my profile that I always add them to after I post them on my story. I would never recommend someone that I haven’t personally sat with and can say is legit. Best wishes

thanks Stormie! you confirmed a lot of what i felt what ayuhuasca is about and for. Cant wait to get out of lockdown and the opportunity to experience this and heal, its something ive wanted to try for a while and especially feel pulled that past almost 2 years. I didnt know people went witht the intention to NOT heal.... wtf?! lol ok, that and the arrogence and entitlent - i worry lol. It reminds me of people giving "advice" on pregnancy and parenting when they have no experience or education on those things but because "this works on my cousin" it must be a fix all lol.

I feel as though if you are working with anyone who is not indigenous, it’s straight up cultural appropriation. And I never use that term. Like I cringe when people use that term. But in some cases, this being one of them, I feel as though that’s exactly what it is.
@StormieAtlantis
@StormieAtlantis 3 года назад
I also cringe at the term, and I think there are a lot of “bro shamans” who you could fairly say are cases of “cultural appropriation.” However, I know a medicine man, who is just straight up Irish white. The reason I think it’s okay for him and others like him is that he has actually sat with and trained with the indigenous people of Peru. If they are willing to train him, who am I to say he can’t serve? So, there are legitimate medicine people who are not indigenous, but I wanted to point out in this video that discernment is key.

Pineapple 🍍 thank you Stormie*** question what if Chat has a mission of becoming a shaman and part of Chat's soul path is to be that but since he doesn't look like an idiginous person then no one will go with him. I feel in my perspective we can 100 percent use being dicerning however we also need to look within and see how we think one should look like. Is like saying Jesus is coming back to earth but we think is going to be a He and only one person that puts us in a box and there is no room for other options to come in and perspectives.

It has nothing to do with being indigenous. I know a medicine man that might be the whitest looking dude I’ve ever seen, and I respect him. That being said. He’s been drinking for 10 years. Trained in the jungle and has never tried to rush it. He’s patient and he’s not pushy. I’m not saying you should base it on appearance. It’s about experience. Sorry if that wasn’t clear enough. “Chad” has been drinking for a couple years MAYBE he’s been to a dozen ceremonies. But I’ve seen people think they can serve after 1 or 2. Chad doesn’t really understand, he’s never been to the heart of it and he’s trying for fame, validation and ego. Chad can be anyone. I think there is a positive and negative polarization happened. Yin and yang. As the medicine works it’s way out fo the jungle to help heal the western world, there’s a counter balance. A negative polarization of the medicine being abused, perverted, used for money, used for ego. And THAT deserves awareness.

@@StormieAtlantis thank too for clarifying that for me this makes more sense and yes I like how you broke it down to polarity this resonates more with me

Unrelated to Ayahyasca... Words cast spells. It's disheartening that otherwise well-educated, well-spoken, and well-meaning persons, including "spiritual" ones, either do not know the power of words, the etymology of words, or care how the words they choose to use affect others. My spirit feels assaulted and disrespected by every detestable sh**, b**ch, and f**k word entering my ear gates. There is a 2000-year old proverb, "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in vessels of silver." The writer knew the power of the Word. I had hoped that as I watched and listened to your channel, the foul words would only be a rarity, as I otherwise enjoy your personality and informative presentations. Sadly, I'm unsubscribing... I just can't continue to feel bad while I'm trying to find the good. Best wishes along your journey~

I understand completely. If my content is causing you more harm than good, then it’s in your beat interest to avoid it. I agree words are spells. What’s interesting about profanity is that you don’t know it’s profanity unless you speak the language. If you didn’t speak English you wouldn’t know I had sworn, you would simply feel my intentions, my energy, which has no ill intent. Profanity has the power the listener gives it. Are there “curse words?” That hold malevolent power? I have no doubt. But English as a whole is essentially cursed. The harmonics are a perversion, vibrationally inverted from more ancient powerful tongues. We’ve been removed from the power of the words. Now all we have is the power we give them. I give them zero. They are expressions that feel cathartic because we’re told we can’t say them. We are conditioned to make them “bad” but I refuse to have the sound of my voice or the sounds that enter my ears have notions I didn’t prescribe to them. Again, I understand if it is upsetting you, and I meant what I said, if it’s harming you, please don’t listen. I don’t want to cause such an offensive reaction. But I want to clarify that my words are words of liberation from societal programming, and that I do in fact understand the power of words, as well as our power to take them back. Best wishes to you on your journey.
