Screen mapping is supported in the Pocket S. To enable it you must first load the game and the option will be on the overlay software. Apologies for missing this, it was not apparent at the time of us testing it. I have added a note in the video and description and updated our blog review as well.
already canceld my preorder on pocket s it was the top model cost me 710 euro instead preodered the odin2 mini pro because its small i hated the odin2 sold it already was too chunky for me
I would have to check when back in the office on Tuesday which amount of RAM was on the Odin 2. If I remember right the Pocket S was the 16GB RAM version. Extra RAM is always good, though Android is pretty good for RAM management. 12GB vs 16GB for example may make a small difference for loading games but I don't think you would notice much.
Thanks for the feedback. Everyone has different tastes which is why we change the style of music for each song. Personally I like most music apart from country and classical :) You have first choice for one of the songs style in our next video which will be the GPD WIN MAX 2 2024. (We have one before that but it is already finished editing). Let me know and I will get busy with Udio.com!
@@DroiX_Storei responded but now my comment is gone. Maybe it didnt like the link to the song. But any Leo’s “the wolf” is a great song. Also i hope my comment came over as lighthearted as intended.
Any particular part of the music? We are experimenting with AI to do something different rather than saying "X games runs great" etc so we appreciate all feedback on this.
I will check again when back in the office on Monday. I am sure I checked while during a game but I might have missed it. Thanks for letting me know. I will make a short separate video showing it and add a note to the video if its working.
At 9:08 , that is insane input delay on the d-pad! Not sure if that has to do with the handheld, or the emulator settings, but it's painful to watch...
It might be the game or the emulator, I never noticed it to be honest. I am often viewing on the camera monitor while playing, as the angle of the handheld isn't always easy to see, so I am used to playing with small delays.
Depends what you want to do on it. If you have a vita then yes. If you have a Switch then it depends on which Android games and emulators you want to play.
@@DroiX_Store just really want to play ps2 games and some older games like Dreamcast Super Nintendo and 64 etc or would a retroid pocket 4 pro be a better choice
@@christianguevara6459 The Retroid Pocket 4 Pro will do these systems as well. For this I would say it comes down to the design of the handheld, price etc.
@@christianguevara6459 The Odin 1 is the weaker of the Retroid Pocket 4 and 4 Pro. I would go with the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro for a bit of future proofing as well
just buy samsung 24 ultra or red magic 9 pro. attache gamepad.. there u go. android handheld that can make a call take a vdeo. with larger screen. u still want handhelds? buy steam deck ally or legion go. dont even know why these thing exist.
@@mohdfirdaus7536 Galaxy s22 278 euros Odin + Galaxy s22= 618 euros You Can play long time with a smartphone, the heat kill your performance , your batteries is die in 3 hours
@mohdfirdaus7536 or you know, just dont go for a top of the line phone, the controller itself cost half the price of these devices, and the price jump even from the plus to the ultra is more than these device costs.
For the 1080 p version what do think the screen on time will be ? Also , are there any gpu drivers available for this chopset ? Yuzu is discontinued but how does does the performance of yuzu on this comapred woth the odin 2 ? Thank you
The 1080P may have better battery life as its working less than than 1440P drawing more graphics. Hard to say for sure though until we have the actual device. We mention in the video that the performance for the games that had small lags on the Odin 2 were smoother on the Pocket S. But for higher demanding games you wont see a massive improvement.
Its a difficult question to answer without tedting both back to back, tho i can say its probably less than youd expect. Early testing is showing that the panel is actually really efficient
