I think you are an anime guy because they didn't have these scenes so I strongly recommend you check out the light novels they cover so much that didn't make it to the anime. @@___Manish___ No he was perfect, he eventually developed emotions, there is a stark contrast between whiteroom 14 year old ayano vs now ayano, Ayanokoji even just after slightly leaving the whiteroom was an inperfect form, but before that he was above perfect even, an absolute monster, But through the influence of his own strategies, he was influenced by their "bad habits" or the emotions that make him imperfect, that's what makes COTE so deep of a story.
Ayanokoji is a tragedy, out all the characters in classroom of the elite he had the worst life, it's why no one in the school can properly understand him, they had privileged lives His father saw him as a way to futher his ambitions, his mother gave him to a man she knew no one should be close with for money, he wasn't born out love but because of the selfishness of two individuals Then he was placed in the White Room, the most inhumane place and it raises children in the worst way possible, and for all his capabilities he knew his life held no worth no one cared about him he was disposable just like everyone else Then his butler saved him and it gave him hope, maybe the world could be better, and yet what happens is the complete opposite He had no friends, but only people he wanted to use him, Horikita and Chabashira didn't care about him at all and wanted to use him to reach class A, Ichinose wanted to use him as a fake boyfriend without considering how it would affect him, Hirata considered him a bridge towards Horikita and so did Sudo,Manabu wanted to use him against Nagumo, he realised that be it the White Room or the outside world no one cares about Ayanokoji Kiyotaka he is simply a convenient existience for others to use, so in vol 3 when his teacher treated him he snaps and we get the tool monologue, a mindset that he hates since it makes him no different then the man he despises the most, and yet he still helps the people above why?To prove a point that his father, the White Room and everything related to is wrong, the demon of the 4th generation rebeling against the false god of the White World
A bit to add. People have the impression that the WR is evil, and kiyo is the victim. But that's not entirely true. It is here that the complexity arises. As you mentioned, he was not seen as having any worth beyond his WR achievements. Couple that with his statement on how he realised no one would help him and you arrive at an undeniable truth. Kiyo, upon realizing that his worth was only manifested in achievements and that no one was going to help him achieve these achievements, decided to create his achievements. But how then? Was he naturally talented? Nay. The main reason is his giving up of his humanity. Indeed, just like a form of equivalent exchange, kiyo WILLINGLY gave up his humanity to become the masterpiece of the WR. When Shiro asked him if he wanted to "die"--that is, leave the white room, his view on it is testament. He knows he's not going to actually die leaving the WR, yet still assigned leaving as a form of "death". In other words, he had already accepted the view that achieving is good, failing and leaving is bad. You can't say this acceptance occurs to any child under wr conditions because shiro plainly exemplifies otherwise. Therefore, it must be noted that Kiyo is still a monster who gave up his humanity to win, rather than a tragedy forced to give up his humanity On a side note, interesting interpretation of vol 3. For me it's as such. Vol 1 and 2, upon analysis, tells us kiyo wished to conceal his abilities to reject his father's ideals. But as he mentioned, this was foolish. Not exactly a good way. A more appropriate proof would be if someone buried him. He saw that potential in ryueen after the sudo incident. Which is why he decided to break his motto of laying low and act in v3 in the dark. He was testing if ryuuen would catch on. If he didn't, he would just go back to his original motivation of hiding his abilities. If he did, then it's possible ryueen had the potential to bury him. Your interpretation honestly makes sense, and could run parallel to my interpretation, but that's just my two cents
Well said :) And also from his birth he was extraordinary like how he come to know about who his father was, just from the conversation at the time he was just baby. he didn't even knew language but just store those words spoken from that conversation into brain & later when he was taught language he interpreted what those words meant thereby finding out who his father was ✨ Also he didn't just adhered by rules he used to observe first what others were doing instead of just focusing on his own test. Good observation skill✔️ And lastly his adaptation skills is overkill 💀 I hope he get to live as he wishes after graduation 🎊

most of ayanokoji's character development comes from his monologues and lerch just cut that out of the anime entirely so it makes sense why people misunderstand him i truely believe ayanokoji is one of the greatest mc's every created
True, Ayanokoji is probably my favorite MC. I know there are other characters who had a tragic past. But how can you make it more tragic than Ayanokoji 's entire life? I love his development but I feel like haters just hate him because they didn't read the LN. Everything is explained there only. The anime is good as an anime, but has nothing to do with the story of the LN

I've read about yuuichi and other characters like rimuru or yogiri ect and yet ayanokoji to me is much more likeable due to his personality being a personality I find loveable... of course there are other characters with "better" personalities and goals but its all perspective and preference also if a character has a light novel they usually have alot more depth to them then the anime portrays

Normal people go through various steps to process traumatic events. Kiyotaka cannot forget, he cannot get into even the denial phase. Forever caught in every traumatic event stacking on top of each other.
People think he is cold and manipulative because he wants, but actually he is like that because thats the way he found to survive in the white room. There is a line in season 2 that he says that he is still stuck in there. All he wants is to be free. He really wants to learn to love key, but all he sees when he looks at people are pawns. I agree, he is the most misunderstood character in anime worl.
