Better roads and connection such as the above is much applauded but efficient public transport is still a better long term solution. More roads just means more vehicles. However it is good to see there’s plans to mitigate the problem.
Pg is jst a small densely, over-populated island with very3 limited space! U cannot play football on a netball court, can U? Can KLIA size airport be built on Pg island or DESH outer-ring elevated highway be built too? Politicians want everything bcos OOH HUAT TIEN, OOH KANG TAU!!! Already, on weekends, the roads are JAM-PACKED!!! ...improve & encourage public transport ....
Expanding roads not going to reduce traffic jam. Vehicles increasing every year . It's better to build Lrt which can help to reduce road jams . Pg govt pls consider lrt
yes they r planning on LRT now, pls be patient, anyway u need both highway and LRT to solve jams, LRT alone cannot solve traffic congestion, u see at KL , lots of highway has been built and MRT too
I'd be more impressed if there's plans to construct a subway network that spread out in Georgetown, Ayer Itam and Tg. Bungah and complement the planned LRT rail that only travels from Bayan Lepas to Komtar. Penang need to REDUCE reliance on cars.
Please consider to bore a east-west tunnel joining Gelugor with Balik Pulau. Boring technology is readily available. This will help speeding up the development of Balik Pulau
There will be a heavy traffic on the Penang bridge exit spot. Imagine, all development and traffic relying on Lim Choong Eu Highway... especially the Light waterfront that going to complete soon.
2 over years since grounds breaking till now How many %of highway completed..seems stuck at Sunshine Central near the Zenith consortium site office there...no money to carry on ???
.... where will.the 2 is 3 short tunnels @ Bkt Gambir & behind Menara Greenview, at least to save some green environment & wind life habitat, (white crest eagles' nestings) on Bukit Hijau/behind Menara Greenview!!! WTF! ... the proposed plans keep changing!!!!!!
A much needed development. The video narration could be improved. The sing song rhythm and swallowing of key words detracts from the visual presentation.
