I'm glad to have come across this album - again - as it offers the listeners a good sample of authentic folk music one is likely to listen in the high plains of Bolivia and Peru, mainly. I urge folk music lovers to avoid compilations by irreputable labels/companies. I'm pleased to mention the provider you're tuned into is commendable. [Gracias, ydob].
@@rrivera85 Incan music was never historically infulenced by Spain until the colonial period, Spain has been in contact with Greece and Arabia for ages.
What makes this different than other "Music from the Andeas" compilations? I get that it's on Lyrichord, but aren't there thousands of comps like this? It's good -- I just want to know what makes it good.
What makes Andean music "good" is a feel, not a figure, a graph or a number. May I suggest you listen to different albums of authentic folk music - similar to this one. Thanks.
