You are correct on that. However, remember that the Odin 2 can do 4K video out through the USB-C port. So for those that want to plug it into their 4K TV, it's nice to know that it can play at 6x resolution (4K).
@@TechNPhotoEnthusiast 6x (2880p) is still overkill and unnecessarily taxing the device. 4x (1920p) corresponds closely to 4K resolution. On the Odin itself, you don't need higher than 2.25x (1080p) unless you want a super sampling anti aliasing effect.
@@megalon84 That's absolutely right. But if you're connected to a TV, then you're probably also docked and the device would be charging. So might as well play at the highest resolution available.
I feel so reassured about R&C. I had the same slow down at the exact same part lol also in regard to BF2 I want to say I remember it being “blurry” like that on the actual PS2. I think I remember assuming it was just some gimmicky way to make it look “smoother.” I could be wrong, though, probably a good decade since I found my old PS2 slim and gave it a go.
May I suggest that people can also try the PAL (European) versions of the ROMs as they're made to run at 50fps as opposed to 60fps on the NTSC (US versions). This can help with some titles as it brings your target lower.
Yes usually Eng, German, Spanish & Italian. Or sometimes you find English/Australian versions. They're all labelled well so it should be easy enough.@@TechNPhotoEnthusiast
Yeah I tried the play the Jax & Daxter and Sly Cooper Games on my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. I tried them all and it didn’t perform well, except for Sly 1 which worked okay.

It's an Android device with USB C, so any USB C charger should work! I've had no issues charging it with a 5V 2A charger or even a 65W PD charger. The device supports up to 65W. You'll only need a 65W+ charger if you want fast charging though.
Could you do need for speed underground? More specifically, a drag race? Every time I emulate it, it always laggs on most devices I use. My pro just shipped and it hasn’t gotten to me yet, so I am not able to try it out myself.
If you have no budget, what’s the best handheld to play ps2, GameCube, psp without 0 issues and with amazing performance? Not sure if it’s the Odin 2, steam deck?
That's a tough one! Odin 2 is great, but it runs Android and has its limitations there. I would probably go with a Steam Deck just because of the large community behind it. But the Odin 2 is still a nice handheld!
The Odin 2 supports 4K video out. So if you wanted to plug this into a TV and play on the couch, you can do it at 4K resolution. 😁 Otherwise, 3x is all you need to have the game look nice on the small screen.
hi man, im using odin 2 and im playing NFS Most Wanted. sometimes FPS got dropped and the music will slow, the game will slow too. im using openGL 3.5x, performance mode, Fan Smart. why still like that? what setting i must change it? thank you
I'm actually not sure why it does that, but I have noticed Need For Speed Most Wanted has that issue on my device too! I've also seen that issue on my Steam Deck as well. I think the game itself is just problematic.
@@TechNPhotoEnthusiastthats the Problem. There is a Lot of Drama in the ps2 emulation scene... So please reupload the Video with either aethersx2 3668 or nethersx2 maybe it fix your issues with some Games.
I dont think its a good idea to get a device that can only run an unsupported emulator and for me ps2 is most important. otherwise seems amazing. Wish I could put the ROGs insides in the odin 2 blue shell lol
@TechNPhotoEnthusiast in trying that but I'm technology illiterate. I have aethersx2 and daijisho. Got bios. Unzipped them. But aethersx2 says they must be 4mb or less. The games are 1GB
@@edjecollins4141 I think AetherSX2 might be referring to the BIOS being 4mb? The games I have are all over 1Gb and they ran without issue. You may want to double check that you have the correct BIOS selected.
It's our sunroom. It's an indoor room that's meant to feel like you're outdoors. That's why the walls are all brick and it has outdoor furniture as well.
That's a question only you can answer really. If your Odin Pro handles everything you play on it, then you should be fine. If it doesn't, then it might be worth considering the Odin 2.
@@retroconsole_ I don't own an Odin Pro, so I can't fully comment on it. However, the Odin Pro has a Snapdragon 845 chip, which is about 6 years old now. The Odin Pro should be able to run all PSP games just fine (at least at 1-2x resolution). However, I think it's not going to run every single PS2 game at full speed. It's definitely night and day difference between the Odin Pro and Odin 2 when it comes to PS2 emulation.
