Yes, the dope scene with Mikasa absolutely butchering the Jaegerists was an animator from France who was a huge fan of the show (I can't remember his name or tag, please forgive me) and was asked to be a part of it. France in particular has an extremely large fanbase for Attack on Titan, and the two live Expos/Conventions Attack on Titan has officially had outside of Japan were in Paris and New York :)

Yeah, you echoed my thoughts on ol' Keith -- despite what Magath said, I think there's a strong implication that he'll go from being "the bystander" to an unsung hero, since no one who knew how he absolutely saved the day seems to have survived. Haven't read the manga, though, so not sure if they address that.
