We got it specially made in Varanasi. Gold and silver wires have been used, and embroidery has been done with gold and silver wires...Our team had come to Ayodhya from Delhi. Don’t worry Roger. It’s a complex ceremony. Not many of us understand it in its entirety. Basically, Hindus have mastered the art & science of creating Gods. We don’t “believe” in God, we (humans) merge with God or experience “moksha” or get liberated from the cycle of birth and death. We know that every living being is basically a ‘purusha’ or commonly known as ‘atma’, a tiny tiny piece of the divine energy, the supreme consciousness -the ‘Brahman.’ The process of infusing divine energy into an idol is called consecrating the idol. So this was the Ram Janmbhoomi Consecration Ceremony where the learned priests conducted a special 11-day long ceremony and infuse the divine energy into the little Ram Lalla’s idol. Now it will stay energised for thousands of years and share it with everyone who comes in its vicinity. We Hindus visit temples, not to pray but to get energised much like battery charging. Tears kept flowing from my eyes that entire day. No logic, just pure bliss, emotion, happiness, satisfaction .......... I felt fulfilled. I can't explain it. Its like your love and devotion and humility carries you into a space where your entire body and mind feels ecstatic. It was incredible. It was a divine moment and I could feel all the devatas, the immortal saints and diving entities watching this moment when Sri. Rama came back to his earthly home in the legendry city of Ayodhya. The Very first city on this planet as per the puran. My mind called out to all the divine entities to bless India and all those devotees who welcomed Sri Rama back into this realm. I am a logical person, an engineer by profession but the emotion and the ecstasy I experienced that day is illogical and indescribable. It was a Devine day for me. I now understand by all the saints and sages said pure devotion is the fastest way to enlightenment. And when I watched tears flowing from the eyes of all those people in Ayodhya, I knew I was not alone. Today I know for certain, India's future is inevitable because Sri. Rama guides our destiny. I love your spiritual journey and I can see how both of you have changed with time. I see Sabine getting more absorbed into bhakti marga and Roger move towards gyana marga. So traditionally Temples have 2 idols. One smaller and one Big. The smaller ones are generally used for the processions are called Utsav Murti.....and it can go outside the temple during holy occasions. But the Bigger idols is permanent and cannot be moved. The Ram lalla idols that was in tent will be used as Utsav Murti. That can be used during processions when Lord Rama has to go out to meet and greet his devotees.
Yellow and red colour are considered to be auspicious in Hindu ceremonies . Therefore we often wear these colours in weddings and other rituals. Lord Vishnu's another name is Pitambar (meaning one who wears yellow garment).

Shri Ram is the most nobel, pious and shinning aspect of entire Sanatan Dharma. Even Krishna and Shiva sometimes can be questioned based on today's norms and context but Bhagwan Rama, he can never. He is the personification of struggle, hope, action, dynamism, light and personal development. That is why he is "Maryada Purushottam".
I remember a big criticism that Osho once made was that people are getting stuck up in the content or duality and missing the bigger picture or teachings. He pointed out the silliness of one trying to get another person to chant "Ram Ram" without realizing that the person being made to chant "Ram Ram" is Ram himself, only they were not able to see it. I'm not bringing this up with regards to anything in the video, it's just something that I remembered.
Oh yes! Which is why the whole idea of conversion is silly as well... We simply need to recognize, or at least acknowledge the Divinity in our fellow human beings. Love is the Way!

Yellow is color of Lord Vishnu, so, Rama, Krishna all dress in yellow. But Yellow also signifies newness in Indian Culture....Green for auspicousness, Blue/Purple for Royalty (some are depicted in blue skin for this reason, to show royalty or nobility of one's nature, not nobility by birth) .
