Sir u r doing great service to Sanatan Dharma and Sri Rama. Infact you are a bigger Bhakta than those of us visiting temples are performing pooja on daily basis. Because u believed Ramayana as true and are proving it's historicity. 🙏🙏🙏

It is sad to see on the map now how many towns have been forcibly renamed to Islamic names in UP, Bihar and everywhere. They should all have "ghar wapsi" to original names. Anyway, excellent info as always!

Looking forward to this - I tried working out the distances and it seemed people had to be giants to cover this distance in the time specified, especially traveling through forests. It would be great if you can also explain Dasharatha's subsequent trip to Mithila (in three days and three nights if memory serves) along with a vast retinue this time taking to roads rather than forests.

If Rama could break Shivdhanushya, they might as well be tall people just like you have seen in 'Avatara'! If not please prove with evidences!

Dear Nilesh ji, What a coincidence! Some time back I too made a timeline of the events you mentioned. Without knowing that you are preparing for a slide show. When you said soon he is presenting a lecture. Was curious to know how much my work goes with your presentation! Luckily is quite identical. Except for Siddhashram, I showed near Ganga shore at present-day Buxar. Instead, present Rajgir(Girivraj) The distances from Ayodhya to Siddhashram is about 350 + km. To cover that distance in 3 or 4 nights 4/5 days, they might have used horse riding. Also, they were going to fight the battle. So Sriram - Laxman would be accompanied by the security and maintenance staff. Also, Vishwamitra gave many sophisticated arms. By way of chanting mantra and simultaneously carry the load of attached arms and ammunition of Bows and plenty of arrows. Of course, these details may not be found in the poetic description. But in any period of time, one can't fight the battles without weapons. And to carry them warriors need manual assistance.

And identification of Buxar with Siddhashram could be correct. For example, river Shona is not mentioned until after they leaving Siddhashrama and arriving at the bank of Shona. Yes. Indeed a great coincidence. In fact, when you sent your PPT to me, I wondered how you figured out that I was working on this!
@NileshOak
@NileshOak 3 года назад
Correct. I agree with you that these distances can not be covered by mere walking (at least that is my understanding based on the fact that I am a good and brisk walker (at least, I was).

I'm glad to see this discussion thread. Almost a year ago, I had similarly attempted to map the journey to Siddhashrama using Google Earth. The trio, after spending time at ancient hermitage of Lord Shiva, had disembarked on the other side of Gangaji after crossing confluence with Saryu nadi to enter Tataka vanam. So perhaps Siddhashram could be west of Sone nadi. I understand that Buxar is recognized to be location of Siddhashrama (ancient hermitage of Lord Vishnu/Vamana). However, Sri Ram mentions that upon exiting Tataka vanam that the hermitage is located nearby a mountainside. The only mountainous location I can come across using Valmiki muni's description and Google Earth is close to Sasaram or in the area south/southwest of Buxar, which is about 70 km away; this mountainous area lies closer to Sone nadi. Unless there are significant hillsides/mountains near Buxar that I've missed; I've never visited Buxar so am not familiar with the terrain there. Thanks for all the important research that you and your team are doing.

Ok but dashrath used to go to mithila is have a route where they crossess river saryu near ayodhya first and then they used to go a route or way on the northern bank of saryu river( may be crossing of river near their capital or city is easier than to cross it on sangam of saryu and ganga far from his capital and it is also coverd with forest and no city is near it only some sanges ashram are there), that route is still known as "SRIRAM-JANAKI MARGE" and that is till now a state highway and now it makes four lane road of national highway. This route is linked with ayodhya to Janakpuri of Nepal, buses and other things are also used to go through it from ayodhya to Janakpuri, and local also used it. Even our PM also epricitaing it and glorify in Nepal when he visited. Secondly, you remember in ramcharit manas sage Parshuram comes directly in swaimvar after the shiv Dhanush broken but in Valmiki Ramayana Parshuram Ji meet ram when the baaraat returned from mithila to ayodhya, the place where they meet the place is called from that day till now as dohari ghat on south bank of saryu about hundred kilometres east of ayodhya, dohari means in hindi counting number do means two and hari means gord Vishnu, it means two forms or avtars of lord Vishnu, the place where they meet is dohari ghat(दो+हरी=दोहरी) घाट। And many of the place you find on this route and in villages people used to worship in small temples some where they tells when ram goes ayodhya to Janakpuri they came here or rest hear or drink water or stay at night, or when they came along with sitaji then the doli stop hear, sita ram stop hear, or stay at night etc they from that period of time they worshipped at that place, being a lot of period of time or some barbarians destruction the old temples are not exists but newly made many temples you found on this route. All the things are not written in books but it comes hearing and seen from one generation to other generation and that servive as kivdanti(किवदंती) in society. Myslef living near this route and near to ayodhya ji so I new some thing, then I can't stop to tell you about that. Sorry for some thing wrong I uttered.

@@NileshOakji, sir thank you for noticing my comment, I always seeing your videos whenever I have time. Sir you just write doharighat Gorakhpur on Wikipedia you come to know about what I am telling you, and on Google map just find distance between chawani(historical place of 1857war) to barhalganj Gorakhpur (doharighat is 3km apart from hear) that way is still known as "RAMJANKI MARG" and you find it goes on till saryu ganga sangam near chapra and after that by same route we reach to Janakpuri mithila. A wedding barrat of lord Ram still goes through ayodhya to mithila Nepal on occasion of wedding of ram sita which actually done by sadhus of ayodhya and uttar pradesh government itself and lots of people includes ministers goes and recived by Nepali government and people and saints, they meet and and came same from RAMJANKI MARG. I have some screenshots but can't able to be uploaded here.

Amazing, amazing information. Never seen or heard such a beautiful journey of Ram and Laxman to Mithila. Sir, i shall be too happy if you show a map of places in Ramayana. Particularly, Kekaya, Koshal, Kishkindha and so on. My humble question, was Mithila nagari was in present Nepal? Thanx in advance.

Nilesh ji , in your book 12209 BCE Rama - Ravana Uddha chapter 11 , I wonder how you missed quoting the 1st half of the 8th slok of Aranyakand 16 th canto _ सेवमाने दृढं सूर्ये दिशमन्तकसेविताम् । ( सूर्यदेव इन दिनों यमसेवित दक्षिणदिशाका दृढ़तापूर्वक सेवन करने लगे हैं । ) That means in that time in the season of Hemant , Sun takes his/it's southern journey . Nowadays Sun takes southern journey on 17th July / 22nd June . Please clarify . I am interested these days reading the Valmiki Ramayana .

Sir in your lecture at 15th min you are talking about the entry of Rama and Lakshmana along with Sage Viswamitra to the Gautama Ashramam. This is one of the key scenes illustrating how a Kshatriya will behave with a Brahmanas. Lord Ram is here to establish Dharma. which means Varnashrama Dharma. He has taken to Kshatriya Dharma as his highest yagna. Except few authors other than Valmiki, every one else will narrate Ahalya was in stone form and she got her body back when Lord Ram touched her by feet. This is totally against the principle of Varnashrama Dharma they practised those times. No one till last generations will touch any thing even if non living entity by feet. Ahalya being an initiated women in brahiminhood who is only seeking Supreme' is not supposed to be touched by feet any other varna people as that is considered to be sacrilege. They could not do this even to a small kid of 8 years who just got initiated to the Brahminhood. You were trying to say some thing but this video got edited there not sure you wanted to say there
