I like Patrick Ayrton's almost poetic way of describing his choices (even as a child by choosing Bach and as an adult by choosing Burgundy as his right place to live in), and thoughts about the subject of his performance which was wonderful! According to my own taste, I would slow a little bit the Prelude, even though it was originally intended to be didactic, and hurry up a little bit the fugue which has elements (according to the harpsichordist's understanding) like in a Bourree dance - so the two pieces will be more homogeneous. His observation about the "shocking third" with its "vinegary feeling" is very interesting and opens the door to discussion about the tuning of the WTC. I also enjoyed his perfect accent in three different languages and the excellent filming and editing of this upload. Bravi to all of you and thanks again NBS for another 'pearl in the crown'.

Yes Sir, the most adorable fugue ever written for harpsichord. Makes me fly, and dream, also.
