I recently had the opportunity to spend 3 nights at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona. There is a lot to like about this historic property, but my stay was not without challenges. Today I'm sharing my room tour of two different rooms and sharing about the opportunities for improvement at this hotel with a fabulous location and loads of potential. Enjoy!

I enjoy sharing rooms, it's always nice to see different rooms. COLD🚿🛁 water, burrrrrr. Not a good thing. It sounds like you made the best of it, which I think you always do. Thanks for sharing. Happy 10k, congratulations!

I thought the second room was much better decorated than the first. Loved that wallpaper in the second room as well.

Great timing; I just got home from a trip to the Phoenix area last night, and yesterday we went to tour the Wrigley Mansion and drove past the Biltmore to see it. I wondered what it was like inside, so thanks for sharing!

What a lovely lobby! The pool area looked nice too. The desk sticking out into the middle of the room strikes me as an odd use of space, but that’s just personal preference, I’m sure. No hot water though...eek!

Yeah it was frustrating. But I'm home now and we have plenty of hot water! LOL!

The history is everywhere! They actually do a history tour some mornings at 10 am that I would have loved to have done.

Stunning hotel! Its crummy that you had to go through that mess with the hot water, and I'm not sure why they didn't have a faster resolution for you. However, thank you for the awesome review of the rooms. Would you be able to do a food review because the salmon dish you showed looked amazing!

What a beautiful hotel! I’m glad you did the review! It is a shame that you had those problems, but nice that you got to do 2 room tours (see the positive right?) and the shower in your “second room” looked awesome!

Love Frank Lloyd Wright. I've done the taliesin west tour and would like to do the taliesin east someday. It's only about an hour drive from where I live but we just haven't been yet. Interesting stuff!

Our first apartment was right by Taliesin West! Lived there five years and never did the tour and I so regret that now!

YES had the hot water worked even the construction wouldn't have bothered me so much and Terri, it was COLD, like crazy cold for Arizona, and I needed hot water!!

80,000 Hilton points is a free night at Waldorf Astoria Orlando.....we are staying there 1 night February 10th, on my Hilton points..

Gorgeous hotel - but what a bizarre and completely unacceptable thing to happen. So strange that they couldn't resolve it immediately. Love the honest review!

I like the Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style of architecture-the hotel shows his influence in a very livable, comfortable way. The plumbing issue reminded me of this quote “The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water.” (John W. Gardner)

Kelly how very true and how very appropriate! As I stated in my Expedia review, the hotel 6 always has hot water. Some things can be expected at almost every price point!

Yeah they finally offered to move me on my final night and at that point I was just exhausted from the whole thing! And thank you - I really did appreciate the hotel and the mostly amazing staff so had no desire to be all negative!

You were very kind Jen! I'm not sure I would have been quite so generous. When it comes to my hot shower time... there's just no excuses for it! But here's my question; I travel a lot, and one of my "pet peeves" is having to move! Did you stay in the room with no hot water because you also do not like to move? Or... would they not move you to that lovely king room?!

So they offered to move me BUT thought they had found the source of the issue so I took a gamble that it would be fixed because yes, I HATE to move rooms! I was all settled and only had one more night. Gambled and lost. Boo.

I think I may be spoiled with Disney service because the last two times I’ve stayed at very nice resorts and had issues I felt like they were dealt with so poorly.

If you can snag a great room rate i would but do not pay rack rate for this hotel right now. Too many construction issues, unfortunately.

They wouldn't give me an update and kept saying the engineer was working on it and it would be fixed soon. They finally offered to move me on my last night and at that point I was exhausted of the whole thing. I know the hotel was full (Barrett jackson) and they were having A LOT of issues (others on twitter were reporting no water at all in rooms and no electricity)

Looked nice but the problems you had are unacceptable in a property at this level. They should have immediately upgraded you to a suite that had hot water.
