This is a brilliant mount. I’ve had mine for over 6 months now and even though it was 3 times cheaper then my biggest mount, this mount tracks just as good as it and its outperformed it on more than a few occasions.
I've had people say that the upper screw that goes into the mount comes loose sometimes and when they have to take the whole thing apart to re-tighten the screw. Why isn't there a hole in both side of the extension so that you can tight the screw up if it comes loose.
I have the same problem, I do have a lot of weight (12Kg) + Counter weights, The rubber mat in the base plate looks ideal, but its the wrong way around... I'm going to try rubber rubber mat.
I just got the extension for my EQ6-R Pro. If I attach the plate real TIGHT to the bottom of the mount, I find I can’t use the azimuth adjustment screws. It appears in the video that the user tightens the knob under the plate that’s attached to the mount. If it’s tight, how can the mount turn for azimuth adjustment? Assuming I don’t tighten the white plate all the way onto the mount but leave a little play, so it’s possible to make azimuth adjustments after everything is installed.
