Man you’re so right about that. Even though you can’t see it in the video we literally fished every inch of water in those ponds. Everything from the aerators to the pipes that drain in and in between. Unfortunately that spot is only 7.5 feet all the way across so I think that warm water has them weird all over the pond. Could see them spooking off the bank but I think the heat had them toasted. Threw a dropshot for awhile and had some bites but nothing solid unfortunately. Dog days of summer!

DesertBassin yeah i fish urban enough it’s weird this time of year . I find em deep or shallow and it’s shallow near current . The pattern lines up with what all the pros say . 3 words , current , deep, and thick cover . Get a fish finder as well and look for em on out deep. Try many different presentations on a single spot . Go reaction first than scale all the way back to something like a slow dragged Carolina rig in those high % areas I said above. I think in these ponds it’s the small things they relate to out deep. Either depth change, small rocks , those oxygenators, dips, humps, basically change . That fish finder is critical this year because most meaning 80% live deep so don’t waste a lot of time shallow unless it’s for one of those 3 things I mention above . That shallow water has no oxygen when it’s 90 degrees. I dove down in my swimming pool to 9ft the other day and there’s a noticeable cooler temps deep.

@@desertbassin I've been fishing the canals for bass using a ned rig and texas rig in decent structure. I've gotten bit once but I couldn't land the little dinky. Any recommendations on spots around tempe area preferably. I've gone 5+ times and it's been so dry so any places would be appreciated

Paul Bland A big thing I learned with urban fishing is the bites are very timely. There are certain times of the year those fish are shutting down and are hard to get to bite. Early spring and Fall are all great times to catch them. Papago Park and Kiwanis are both popular spots with good bass in them you just have to fish them in the right window. We’re still going through the dog days of summer and early September is always a lull period for the fish. Give it a couple more weeks go out drag that ned rig at those two spots and I bet you will see a difference! If the fish are chasing Shad around it’s a good sign they’re moving out of this weird transition

Just gotta keep casting brotha! They’re tough to come by in there but they’re still there. Just needs a little work and it would be a great spot
