The History of the Uzums Cemetery began in the First World War. It was set up by the Austro-Hungarian authorities for the burial of 350 Hungarian soldiers fallen in the fighting. After the end of the war and the completion of Romania, the cemetery was taken over and cared for by the Romanian authorities. Later, between 1926 and 1927, the Cult of Heroes Society, whose tradition is continued today by the Queen Maria National Heritage Cult Association, has set up an international cemetery at Uz Uz Valley, where, together with the existing parcels, they were rehearsed with honorable honors, military of various nationalities fallen in the fighting in the same area. Only in 2018, in an action funded by the Ministry of National Defense and the local budget of Dărmăneşti, Bacău County, began the works of redevelopment of a plot of Romanian heroes, raising 52 crosses and a granite monument.
