Hope you saw in my previous vlog of Old city Baku tour which is also known as Icherishehar. Old city Baku is really very amazing with so many historical places to visit . In my last vlog we have visited Shirvanshah palace but it was closed because it gets closed by 7 pm .
In this vlog , our first stop was Shirvanshah Palace , my host asked me to visit and we landed up there . In my entire trip till now I have never been to any museum rather I choose to visit from outside & take pictures . But Host insisted me a lot to visit this place , moreover ticket of Shirvanshah palace was 15 manat i.e 750₹ . After refusing for several times , host asked me see the place .
Shirvanshah palace is a complex consisting of Mosque , Mausoleum & museum . After visiting Shirvanshah palace we went back to our Host place along with one Indonesian girl whom I met at Shirvanshah palace . My Host was also very happy to see her , moreover he is very welcoming , so let her join with us as she was curious to see the studio where I was living in Old city of Baku Azerbaijan.
Our host decided to drink Cognac with us , also shown an option of Wine but we chose Cognac to drink . After a while host decided to cook Chicken in Azerbaijani style for us & Zara , student of Mr. Namiq also joined us . Our host is very quick in making food , he did all by himself . I asked him to help him in making food but he want to do on his own .
Me , Azerbaijani girl Zara , Indonesian girl Carissa & our host , we all started eating food along with Vodka , it was so much fun . In Azerbaijan people eat different kind of breads and not stick to one kind of bread as in Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan. After finish up dinner Zara left & we plan to explore nightlife of Baku Azerbaijan. Our plan was to visit Flame towers , to see it from the Panaromic view of Baku , Azerbaijan.
While seeing the glittering buildings at night we reached to the glowing stairs , I was too amazed to see those kind of stairs for the first time in my life . If you don’t want to climb stairs to see the Flame towers of Azerbaijan or other views from the top , you can also choose an option of Funicular which will cost 1 manat or 50 inr .
After reaching at top I was stunned to see beauty & nightlife view of Baku Azerbaijan. Caspian Sea at the boulevard with beautiful infrastructure gives an amazing view . We didn’t came back from the same place rather choose another direction towards Martyrs’ Lane . Azerbaijan got Independence from Russia in 1991 , Azerbaijan was also a part of Soviet Union .
I was saddened to hear the story of civilians who were killed or injured during incident of 1990 many of their pictures were displayed at the Martyrs’ lane . After reaching back to Icherishehar metro Carissa booked her cab & left for her Hotel . Uncle ji also left for his home & I slept back in the studio .
