Eow sorry,Brother it's not your fault to find yourself in America just be happy ❤ that u are alive n u can still c your African Brothers dancing for U..mas'hambeni si yo Dancer Brothers...
I have diagnosed depression and strangely enough, the only thing that makes me feel better is african music lol (im a chinese american living in san francisco)
I’m also Haitian and very proud for that!!!! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 Although right now Haiti is upside down but I know it won’t be for long. The people that criticize Haiti and think that it’s an ugly country are tricked by the Americans so more Americans can take over the country of Haiti.
With all the craziness going in the world today, we need song like this to keep us happy.....so kukere everybody, and be happy it won't hurt. great rhythm.
Jamaica has retained so much of its African heritage and it is quite evident here in this video, these moves are replicated in most of our dance pieces.
I'm African American and I just wish I had some sense of culture and identity I know that my ancestors were African obviously but I still don't truly belong anywhere. this music and these dances are feeding my soul though!
I was the same way. I did a DNA test by 23andme and actually found distant relatives in Africa. We spoke and they told me their ethnic groups: Igbo from Nigeria, Ashanti from Ghana. I also have have relatives in Madagascar, Botswana, Reunion Island, Seychelles, and Mauritius. I am so proud to have connected and learn more about myself. Try it!
I actually did do it! I didn't really find it that helpful though. My maternal lineage can actually be traced back to the middle east and north Africa which I was surprised by though.
Curly temple, I'm also African American and proud of it. I feel the exact same way. I really feel bad about not knowing a lot about African culture. I mean I know a little bit here and there, but I really want to know more. I haven't had the time nor money to do a search for my ancestors but I know in my heart they are African descent. btw I love the music video, especially the music itself
+Curly Temple Don't loose hope, If u are some how or feel African. U Are African. First, Africans don't segregate. Second, during nomadiking times, there was alot of intermarriages between Arabic nothern and black south. Mostly, they met during Biggest cultural gatherings, during draughts and rainy seasons. Arabic north, Africa was a wash with Arabs, Yemens, Greeks, Turkish, Spanish.Lebans. Remember Africa had alot of Trade centres from/ to Across Sahara. Another big reason to intermarry. Some women found their way in Arabia. Some Arabs never went back noth, they dissolved in Black Africa. Thats why you see the lightest and the Darkest of African. Others due to where they live, are naturally light skin. Others lived in places hard to reach eg beyond big rivers, mountains or desert, They didn't intermarry at all. Today You can find a black person in European/ Arab features same An Arab person but completely with Black African features. Without borders, peoples moved long distances. African peoples said to look same, its true because they married in causins without knowing it and some few words can be understood by both sides across Africa because they supposed to be causins who moved long distances. I hope this help you some how. Try and Read African peoples. Its interesting.
Martin delany don't be sorry coz everyone has their freedom to their own perspectives. So to you i look regular but to my self am more than a queen, and also not everyone sees a dog like a dog, some may see a pet in a dog others may see just an ordinary dog in the same same dog. What matters is what angle of perception are you looking at.so I appreciate coz your thought proves to me you are a normal human being and that's soo good. BRAVO TO YOU.
This is what it means to be African! Loving it! From Accra to Lagos to Nairobi (via New York or London - take your pick) we know how to have a great time!!!
I guess thats why us Puerto Ricans are like them dancing...because we have African Blood Puerto Ricans are a Mixture of Spanish-Africans and Taino Indians! and we can DANCE!!!!
First time I heard this song was in a club in Barbados, the dance floor was crammed. Loved it ever since. Love Africa and all the good that comes from it :)

This video will always remain one of the Nigerias' most perfect representation of African culture! Everything about this video reflects precisely what's true about the people, music, and dancing of true sub shaharan Africa. Nothing is compromised in terms of cultural values. And this video is out for anybody, regardless of their race as long as they are interested in global diversity racial entertainment! Last but not least, I love viewers comments in this page, no fighting as to who is in the video or who is not supposed to be there! Surprisingly people of other races posted nice complementary comments compared to videos where there are fights over skin shade.
Perla falbe If that bothers you, stop hanging out, why do you have to bring personal intereactions into public? is that supposed to make you a better person? or simply making an ass out of yourself?
I truly respect African culture the food, music fashion, and business, attending HBCU taken a course in learning Africa Dispora And having classmates from Africa with respect for each other opinions and ideas.
@Jo Gn Jamaicans are Africans that were born & live in Jamaica. Just like so called African Americans (regardless of what they think they are) are just Africans born in America. We all are the sons and daughters of moma Africa.

My husband is Nigerian, I just LOVE Nigerian music!! I need to learn these moves so I can boogie with him! I so hope Biafra is reality soon, may move to Nigeria then! Love the culture there, conditions are not good but maybe soon. 🙏🏼🙏🏿
Adaeze Osonkie You are right with one thing Caitlin's legs aren't like these because he is a man. No way inform is Caitilin a woman. Born a man still is a man. His legs are ugly anyway.. Plus my legs look feminine and my name is a woman names.. That's all have to say about this conversation.. You are a man you should know born male still is a male. ugh. Women who are hetrosexual wouldn't be with a woman who changed herself into a man. Only way that happens is if the woman is gay and she will take the woman who transferred herself into a man..
Gentlemen you are amazing, you put the biggest smile on my face because it’s not too often I see men dancing with such rhythm. Thoroughly enjoyed your talents, keep up the great work, and hope to see more of you in the future.👏

LOL i try to go back to american or my style of dancing but i end up doing african dances....comes from watching tons of african videos and listening to the music its in me now. lol
I really enjoy watching you guys videos. I almost have the dance steps down lol, I freestyle to most of it but I love to exercise to it. I am not obedient when it comes to workouts and exercise but this song and you guys moves motivate me. Keep up the goood work
Im not african american, im American of Puerto Rican & Mexican decent. I have a great appreciation for all kinds of dance in general but man am i loving this kind of dance at the moment! I can definitely see where present and past pop artists have borrowed from this, as well as street dancers....☺
I am born in the Caribbean and i live in the Caribbean. This sound does resemble Caribbean Styled music. In the Caribbean we do use drums alot and we have the words " na, na, na" in alot of songs. Its basically how we speek. Search the song ( Isaac - To the ceiling ) He is a local singer here in Trinidad.
they may use drums but I've never heard of the Caribbean drums but I've heard of the African drums and that's what he used, not the Caribbean drums but the African drums and plus African music has been done like this for years people are just catching on, there is no copying here and anybody could say the words "na na na" trey songz and will smith used it in there songs, it's not a Caribbean word.
