Women and children who were stuck underground in the Azovstal Steel Plant in Mariupol reach relative safety of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine.
“We were losing hope that we would never get out,” Katerina tells Laura Bicker as she arrives in Zaporizhzhya with her 2 children. They spent 2 months in the basement of the Azovstal Steel plant in Mariupol.
“From the morning and during the night, we were bombarded.”
