PvE Why isn't this ship as good as I have heard in other threads/lists? This list is based off the current state of the CN server and the hardest content available there. However, as the EN server is nearly caught up to that of CN/JP, this list is very applicable to the current end game content on it. In general, ships with better air and anti-air capabilities are more valued at higher levels, which should be factored in when using this list.
That's why they are so broken. You are gonna have to wait a whole year before you get all 512x blueprints to max out their strength. That's the reason i'm not farming for any of the rainbow PR ships
Yeah but fdg is considered just a trash for example. Monarch's quite meh too. On the other hand Izumo's not as bad as they say but you see what happened to her in AL.
I agree, atm she is at lvl 110 cap for me and she honestly feels very similar to Jean Bart because of how much damage she can put out. Those 4 quick reloads really make a huge difference.
@@ItsAnderYT I'm a week late, but I heard the calling of history. As KyuMonix pointed out: Alabama (together with Massachusetts and South Dakota) is in the South Dakota class, whilst Washington and North Carolina are in the North Carolina class. Now the interesting part is, as you mentioned, they have very similar stats and barrages. That's because the SD class was extremely similar to the slightly earlier NC class. The NC class were supposed to be the USN's treaty BB. For that reason they were originally planned to use 3x4x 14'' guns (three quad turrets). That same layout was planned for the British KGV class (after the signing of the treaty made the Monarch layout (3x3x 15'') illegal, but before they realized that going for 3x4x 14'' would make it too heavy for the treaty limit and replaced one of the turrets with a twin, bringing it down to 2x4 + 1x2x 14'' guns). However, then certain countries refused to join the treaty before the deadline and instead started a little conflict we like to call WW2. This triggered the so-called "escalator clause" of the 2nd London Naval Treaty. This allowed the countries which had previously joined the treaty to go from 14'' to 16'' and 35,000t to 45,000t. The KGVs started construction first and were nearing completion by the time the escalator clause was invoked, so they were simply finished in their Treaty configuration using 14'' guns on a 35,000t standard displacement. The NC class wasn't as far along, so it was still possible to finish them with 16'' guns instead. However, their hulls had been designed with 14'' guns in mind which meant that their armor was only designed to stand up to potential enemies using 14'' guns. In a nutshell, the NC's were essentially armed with 16'' guns, but only armored against 14'' guns (again, due to the assumption that everybody else would actually join the treaty and therefore only use 14'' guns). The South Dakotas have an interesting point of origin. In 1936 (keep in mind that these ships took many years to design and build) it was decided that there would be a revised follow-up class to the North Carolinas (rather than just another two NCs) which was assigned to start construction in 1939. This is when it starts to become interesting. In the US, every ship that the USN wants to build, has to be authorized by the US Congress. The US Congress hates nothing more than spending money and the US Congress was not particularly interested in the nuances of naval limitation treaties. They authorized building 35,000t ships and they couldn't care much less when those Navy guys came and told them that the escalator clause could now be activated to build better ships. Which is why the South Dakotas were essentially an attempt to do everything that the NCs could do + fix the NCs issues (like their lack of protection against 16'' fire and their nasty habit of vibrating themselves apart at moderately high speeds) whilst still staying on a 35,000t standard displacement. And they sort of managed to do it. The major differences to the NC class once completed were: Considerably better protection, slightly lower speed, being noticeably shorter and being infamous for how cramped they were. So what happened to the escalator clause? Well, the USN did end up getting a class of modern BBs with 16'' guns and a 45,000t standard displacement. That class would carry on to see service as late as 1991 when they were used during Operation Desert Storm, the Iowas. But that's a story for another time. tl;dr: They have very similar stats because they were very similar ships.
for those who don't know why terror and Erebus are in the tier list is because of their oil usage they are the lowest back liner oil consumer and the best for farming 7chp use 2 max toolbox btw or 5chp bellow
Not gonna lie, I actually started this game because of Bismarck. Like seriously, I saw her an was like "owo, a busty blonde german with a strong personality. Where do I sign up?"
PC Feriksson in PVP. but i find her use in PVE very good because of stat boosts plus if they giver her a retrofit and a barrage just like Nagato, HMS can stand toe to toe with IJN
Nope, not really. RN has the worst lineup so far except great battleships. Aside from Formidable there's no real offensive carrier. Their light cruisers don't excel in anything other than evasion and some ocasional buffs. Same goes with CAs being squishy and DDs being generalists and eva/trp mix (like Javelin). Giving QE a barrage would either: a) Render KGV or Monarch useless if too strong b) Make the retrofit unnecessary because stronger barrages in the faction do exist. Also bear in mind that not everyone just gets a Nagato barrage. Even among the best BBs her barrage is somewhat unique. Mutsu's close and if anything Rodney and Nelson should get an upgrade to have at least their barrage as strong as Mutsu's.
Amagi is really underrated, she can defeat nagato for sure plus gives versatility, you can use her on everything and works like crazy, Nagato on the other hand doesn’t. She is kinda slow although very powerful , still Amagi’s speed and versatility makes her on pair.
Duke of York is underestimated. Her tag-team backline and boss sniping when paired with retro Warspite, is a thing of beauty. Esp when equipped with the gold triple 410 prototype gun and the heavy +piecing aux shells.
Love Hood, got her in my early game and she keep carry my fleet even now. Thanks to her I'm able to 5* KGV from event points & got Bismarck with the cubes result of her victors. Got question though, is Prince of Wales that bad ? She's one of my bucket list, like her design & bought her bikini skin before even own her lol.

I disagree that washington is better than bismarck because: 1) im salty I dont have washington 2) bismarck's 1st salvo guaranteed crit, paired with white shells, makes her have double damage on 1st salvo. This is essentially an aimable sniper skill and I think it is highly underrated.
I agree with you too. Bismark had a better firepower than Washington. Bismarck-Tirpitz combo is good at offense but Washington-South Dakota is a good defense combo.
North Carolina deserves to be in T1 for sure. She is the best AA backliner by a mile, which is ideal for w12/13 (which this list is based on) and her FP is actually nuts when you do the math of her self buff skill.
Agreed. She's definitely a solid backliner for W12/W13. My best guess to why she was put down is simply because she lacks a barrage, which is what I think the tier list maker used as a standard for higher tier ships.
(mainly for higher tier players in w12+) Hey mate, worth mentioning that in the case of KG5, she actually does better with the mk6 than the quad 356. Also worth mentioning is that with Bismarck, tirpitz does come up to tier 1. Otherwise, because FDG doesn't require flagship for her barrage to trigger, so putting a Bismarck with FDG and a decent Cv (Essex, centaur for top level non event, otherwise Langley Kay is quite good because of her 6/0/3 configuration and insanely low oil cost of 9[offsets the ridiculous fdg cost of 19]) Also, outside of nagato, the other lucky seven don't actually deal decent dmg with their barrages because of the modifiers, let alone the low trigger chance
yep those are some good points to bring up! I made this tier guide as a brief overview to highlight the strengths of the the "top tier" ships in each category, so I might miss a couple of detailed explanations just for the sake of not making my videos an hour long. These are some good tips, thanks for the insight!
Those are probably the only two good battlecruisers lol Well, if you're only looking for BC'S, then next best would probably be Scharnhorst since her Sniper ability acts as a mini Warspite retro skill.
Repulse is best girl. She has no barrage but her skill gives her a faster reload on her guns. Giving her a triple gun makes her a pretty decent mob killer, if she ever gets a retro and a decent barrage to go with it, she will become a great ship
to me, she's definitely under T0. she's in my main fleet atm and she steals all the mvp from my ships in every sortie. not that i care much though as long as i win
@@changjueren7 Wouldn't that mean she is one of your main dmg dealing ships? The only flaw about her is the lack of FFNF ships or them being in Events or PR which is a common thing about this game.
@@felixgutierrez993 she is indeed my main dmg dealing ships from rearguard but i am also trying to make bismarck a 2nd one. Well, her faction ship is pretty much limited so i can only rely her as a dmger for me to clear high level maps. I have jeanne d arc but she is pretty much underperforming imo... she's ard lvl95 but she still lose to many low level ships
@@changjueren7 Damn I missed my chance at Jean the other BB with Richelieu and Both have like the most Consistent amount of pain next with WarKai. I mean I use my 120lv Riche as my main BB in my Eagle Union for Barrage. (Until I can pull Alabama)
The reason JB is kind of low because of her gun spread is very high, long reload, which relatively hard to synergize. really luck base which is pretty inconsistent

I dont agree Nagato being T0. THe barrage is good? yes, but the chance to activate is lower than my mood. The flagship skill is good? yeah, but today the PVP fleet is Nagato, Amagi and FdG, so the skill is quite useless. i've defeaded tons of Nagato in PVP, even shes activating the barrage a few times. Jean bart should be at T0. Her damage is damn insane! mine crit 25k once lol Mutsu has the same barrage as Nagato and she's at tier 3. Nagato should be tier 1.
Azur Lane Meta I know that! That’s why nagato should not be T0. A full IJN fleet can’t do chapter 13, even if you use Noshiro.i know how strong Alabama is :) why North Carolina is not at T0 either? She’s by far one of the best ships for chapter 13.
@@pedroauter2759 Nagato with Akaga is still fairly decent for Ch13, but yes IJN vanguard ships struggle in late game story mode. Why North Carolina is T2 is strange to me. Personally for this list, I'd put her T1 (no barrage hurts, and while she has great AA, you do need AVI as well). However, if I was around for Fallen Wings, I'd be using her for late game content.
@@AzurLaneMeta maybe, but in chapter 13, you will want ships like Illustrious equipping 2 german fighters but anyway, thats just my opinion :) I dont think a ship needs to have a barrage to be good. North carolina is the Sandy for the main fleet. Equip her with 2 AA radar and she will do tons of damage. Mine is at lvl 110 only but i will lvl her up to use on chapter 13.
@@pedroauter2759 I agree with you that NC is probably underrated. But I'm saying that they might take away her value due to the lack of barrage. In Ch13, because of ACV, youll need 3-4 CVs. Thus, with 2-3 BBs spread across your 2 fleets you can afford to be picky. It's hard to upend Warspite kai or Alabama, so really you are fighting for that 3rd spot (alongside every other BB and CV in game). That being said, T1 seems like a fairer assessment to me. However, note I've never personally used her (and so haven't many in EN) since she is a very old event exclusive ship.
She is not very good but not very bad. I lvl up her. The dmg is good. However, she is best choice to play w rossiya. The only problem about her is hp. (5k hp lol) I would says she is great support ship for NP ships
She's a good farming ship, you can use her without any northern ships in events to fast clear the first stages of the events as long as you keep her default gun
Started November last year, now I have Retrofit Warspite and Dev19 Monarch. Getting Warspite is better tbh since her Retrofit event happened after our join dates.

According to the Reddit post, it's PVE focused. Most of the ships in the same tier perform very similarly to each other, so if you need to choose between them, pick the one you like the best!
i disagree about the fact that you need to fully limit break the PR ship in order to make them strong. i recently finished researching the FDG, she is now 3 stars out of 5, and she is at level 91. i don't have her gun, the gold 406 prototype, which is the upgraded version of the Bismarck gun. but the damage she can do is absolutely insane. her barrage skill gets triggered so easily, and it covers the entire screen, instantly wiping all light enemies. I have Alabama, but I never used her, i guess I will start using her once I'm about to start farming Georgia. Currently I'm almost done with Roon. So far, the weakest PR battleship is no doubt Izumo. But I also got her, and she was actually my first PR ship in the game, I just really like the way she looks, instantly fell in love with Izumo waifu.
I find that suruga should be moved up into t1 instead of hood since her damage and tankiness is better than hoods with an more effective barrage in my opinion
Hood have far more utillity than Suruga : superior AA stats for late world maps while also having a Reload boosts for entire backline. Suruga damage isn't better than Hood tbh, her barrage are too widespread to do anything against boss or sirens while Hood is excel in both boss and mob fleets.
Ive had to restart after a yearlong hiatus cause I lost my account. And losing Rossiya and Bismarck is painful. Rossiyas barrage carried me through so much shit.
This is unrelated to the tier list itself, but since I'm farming XP to build Monarch (at present at about 50% of the second part), I've been wondering... I have Hood capped at LV 90 and no way to LB her at the moment. I also have Queen Elizabeth being my Flagship right now as she's leveling up to 100. Thing is, I'm getting really close to 100 and have been wondering, is Hood contributing in any way to Monarch's XP? Considering there's no progression bar except for the percentage, I can't exactly tell. At the moment I'm farming Winter's Crown hoping for Duke of York to slap in that 3rd slot. I've also just realized I could've used my Rodney, but it's getting Oil intensive sooo... maybe I could drop Hood for her if she has no purpose.
Yeah. If you overcap the xp of your ships, they'll still count towards the xp count for development. It's still probably not a bad idea to level other shipgirls as well though.

I switched to Queen Elizabeth and Rodney now, but the former is about to hit LV 100 as well. 34% to go and I can do something else. XD
Question here... Im planning on building a full battleship backline fleet that will consists of Rossiya, Monarch and FDG at max lvl to mow down the stages... Which battleship should be flag ship? Since all of them have barrages.

Hey, you forgot to mention thats Bismarcks secons skill (yellow one) buff exclusiv Tirpiz who gain 40% more dmg, tahts a lot ( and 10% as her lone quen of teh north skill) w which amke her a very god bb, more a T1 like her sister. Tirpiz make in my fleet more dmg as bismack (both same equpment, level and enhanced), in the sheling daylie for teh chips you can evry od compare the dmg of both, and tirpiz have way more dmg..

Definitely go for Eldridge! I have both and South Dakota is so lackluster I regret getting her. Eldrige has: - An insanely cool purple fireball barrage that covers the whole screen - Super useful skill that lets vanguards evade EVERYTHING for 10 seconds (they cant die during this time) - Electricity
I would say both are equally valuable. A lower tiered ship can still perform well if they have good gear. A higher tier ship will be able to take more advantage of good gear with their better stats and skills. You should focus on aiming for both the best ships and the best gears all the time as this will bring the best results to your gameplay.
I think it should be worth to mention that Duke of Yorks volleys make enemies take extra damage, making her perfect pair for Jean Bart for insane damage numbers.
Imo Richelieu is T1, maybe higher, her barrage is powerful af and it is also easily activated not to mention she has a battleship fire preloaded at the start of the battle
I dont know why toss didnt make it at least T2 in that tier list can someone explain it please? And mikasa i think should go for support coz he put queen Elizabeth at support when mikasa also have a good support skill especially for ijn battleship

why does nobody ever talk about Prince of Wales in these lists? i know she only has her one skill but it's a damn good skill. I love running her as my flagship in my mob fleet along with essex, laffey, reno, and bremerton. Not to mention she has the best swimsuit skin in the game B)

No, Duke of York is an event ship that was part of the Winter's Crown event, she still has not been added to the permanent build pool. Edit: there's no tag for her because this is the CN/JP tier list, and on their servers, she has already been added into the build pool, but on EN, they still have not
So Imma ask in PvE World 13 and in general usage Are BB's needed in a fleet or should I just skip a BB and replace with CVL like unicorn (equipped with F2A buffalo) I have enty and sara retro in the fleet. my Waifu(Fusuo) is not on tier ex. this tier list is invalid. ok joke aside, 9:14 it's called "big 7", it's a reference from real-life "Washington Naval Treaty". with current PVE meta, the battleship is good, I can even use Scharnhorst and Gneisenau on 12-4(threat lv.0 and not very oil efficiency fleet). Hood definitely go to for newbie cause she is always there for Shikikan. but somewhat got power creep by some event ship and obviously PR ship.
interesting fact and thanks for correcting me on that Big Seven thing! i kept thinking it was epic seven because of that other anime game, so i just went with lucky seven because it sounded right xD
