I'll provide timestamps later. I'm running a bit behind. EDIT: Timestamps have been updated on the video. Man there was a lot covered in this video. EDIT 2: This video is over a year old, while some info is definitely still relevant, MUCH has been updated/improved by Manjuu since this came out. 22:15 You can actually scan then tap on those nodes to see info about them. TB will point out whether it's a normal resource node, one that might contain an ambush or one that might contain rarer materials. Useful if you scan and pick the most valuable ones first before they sink.
@@512TheWolf512 Yes, but in the case of what I timestamped, usually you'll only be able to pick up 3 nodes before they sink. Scanning first will help you pick out the one with a chance of getting more valuable stuff first and avoid the ones where you have to fight.
I only have half of the recommended ships and most of them not lvl 120 yet, thankfully we can change equips when not in battle cuz I have very few gold equips
Deadass spent 10 minutes trying to navigate to Liverpool then going back to my fleet in a zone, not realizing you're supposed to tap at the outside bit of the map to navigate 😂
Same. I had to go to reddit to find the answer. Even though I know how to do it now, it's kinda tedious and really unintuitive to have two maps, with the first one being one you can't use to navigate to other zones.
Merry Christmas everyone and I can’t wait to watch this later on today. I can’t just now because I have to go and do Christmas stuff but I will get around to it👍
Oh wow, I didn't realize upgrading equips would refund the plates and most gold, I'm so relieved. Here I was really dreading leveling up all these helldiver replacements. Thank you man, I probably would've kept my +10s and used +0s to make the new equips lmao.
i'm a bit ashamed to say this but i never really found the relevance in OpSi because i never knew what it was actually for, to me it was just another daily that i had to complete when i logged onto azur lane. but now that i'm level 100 i'm starting to realize that there are so many weapons that i want that can only be obtained through OpSi. soo this guide is really helpful. 100% going to be referencing this (and hope everything is relatively up to date) as i start my newfound grind through OpSi to get materials for the Gear Lab weapons.
thanks for the guide. the video started with a painful reminder that I have yet to wait for a Noshiro rerun though xD you actually answered something very simple that i didnt even know was a question i had.... i was going only to adjacent tiles. I did not realize you can go anywhere where its safe + all their adjacent tiles in one go.... so to go to port i would clear tile after tile going back and forth, wasting tons of time. so thanks for that. now the mode makes a lot more sense all of a sudden xD
A bit wrong on the fleets. Shelling, Airstrikes, and torps(really just Ibuki and Noshiro in a fleet). It is possible to have a boss that takes significantly reduced damage from both shelling and airstrikes. Also consider putting in a repair ship early(can be placed in any fleet), which will repair all ships in all fleets by 10% when you clear an area(helpful on lower level maps to keep ships healthy while you gobble up all the bonuses and open up routes, not helpful at all on higher level maps where you need maximum damage over sustained health) also, you get 0 xp for defeating fleets on maps you don't spend AP to enter(aka story maps, except story map chains that charge you AP to involuntarily enter new maps)
Yes, there are torp nerfs too. But I'd still make 2 boss fleets (one with CVs and one with BBs). Being a boss fleet, both will probs have torps so you probably won't have all 3. Yes, repair ships give 10%. Ahh that makes sense for the 0AP thing, so main story is a no.
@@AzurLaneMeta It might be useful to construct a torp boss fleet(as opposed to a CV or BB boss fleet that happens to have torps). Shoukaku(even though she is normally a very suboptimal choice) would be crucial to that due to her ability to buff vanguard damage dealt and reduce vanguard damage taken simultaneously for a short time.
I bet this mode is mostly a reference to the Battle of the Atlantic Ocean, not because of the ships that participated it or the events, but mostly cause of strategies tactics that were taken action to weaken the force. Like list of examples, why were Submarines going to be important in OPS? Cause they were best in taking down convoys and ships that lack Sub devices. Why we recover materials for equipment? Mainly that why so many convoys shipment were lost. Aircraft being important? All the scanning and raids. There's many reasons why this OPS is good and im glad they made it, and yes it may get time to get better on the long run but it gives out rewards for your efforts.
one tip you miss is you can use Scan mode to know which resource nodes are safe, ambush, and even alarms (that makes the rest disappear) , dont sleep on the scan mode as it provides some useful information
Very helpful guide, damn have I took time figuring out about entering port and swapping out ships! Devs could really add a few more ways to fulfill these important functions :D
Thanks I was doing the OPS tutorial because the game forced me into it and haven't played it in a few months, now coming back to try it I obviously have way better ships available and I couldn't find out how to switch them in.
Some notes: * It always was weekly, people got errors on day 2. The translation was just off. * You can actually scan the "swirly things" to see which drop the best loot. Since you can only pick up like 2 of the 4, it's important to get the jackpot node :) * You *can* clear the zone. You just need to be at a node at the sides rather than anywhere on the map. * You get the supply shop vouchers for leftover items on reset (not the AP or repair stuff though, so use that up). Not fully sure how the whole reset mechanic will work. And yeah so many books. Going to see if it can speak up a certain upcoming German event. * Randomly draws 10 Prototype Cores. OMG... so jealous.
Can you buy or repair your ships on the red ports? Because I have a couple of them unlocked but there is nothing I can do there. Edit: I wrote this halfway through the video but it got answered
The man, the myth, the legend, he finally made the vid i was waiting for! There is still some shit about OS i dont understand so thank god u made this vid.
i think you forgot to tell people that repair ships give all fleet 10% heal after clearing a map. and AP replenish using oil is weekly instead of daily
Does anyone know where I can use the high efficiency combat logistics plan? Meta said main story but I don’t get the option anywhere to use it. I even tried it on the regular main campaign.
I've been told that repair ships heal all fleets (not fleet they're in, ALL fleets) for 10% at the start of each mission. I haven't burned the AP to test it myself. Might be worth including in a bumper fleet if so.
If you use fleet deployment, and didn't change the formation, you can restore all your fleet hp. But in-order to do that, you need to go to the nearest port. I figure it just right now (cost me 89 ap to experimenting) the mechanic same as request recon, first is 0 ap, than the cost rise into 99 ap, and slowly drop into 0
@@AzurLaneMeta that a free repair with no cost if you can exploit it. Grinding with fleet 1(mob fleet) when you need ap to fleet deploy. When it free attack the bosses (usually i died a lot) then retreat to port. Just like "hit and run" tactic, right?.
Repair Ships will also repair your fleet by 10% after the map has been cleared. So I'm thinking of running Tosa, Casablanca and Akashi in the 4th fleet. Using FdG in my moob fleet means I get free barages every 4th, 5th or 6th battle and I also get more AVI+RLD for my Perseus in the mob fleet and for my carrier boss fleet. Although a dedicated anti Light-Armor fleet with Richelieu, Jean Bart, Cascogne, Aurora might also be good? Hopefully you make a full guide video for fleet comps for OS soon. That'd dope.
Gibraltar is pronounced Jibraltar for future reference. Or at least it is in English. In Spanish if I understand Wikipedia correctly it's closer to Hibraltar.
I have finished all the Ope. Siren stuffs, I do mean all, except the daily quests. The game mode as a whole feels more like a framework that seeks to provide grounds for futures updates. Once you get in a zone, it plays like the campaign excepts with more fleets. Overall, it has a lot of potential but at the moment, it has many small tedious problems. The UI is unnessarily complicated. It should have sticked with a orientation-locked, colored map. All the clickable elements should be bigger so they are more clickable. It should get rid of the 3-tiles-fixed movement system. And, above all, it should play like a strategic game where players can mobilize multiples units in one turn now that we have 4 fleets to command. In the future, I think it makes logical sense to intergrate the campaign with the open map.
Haven't watched the video yet so sorry if it is mentioned but *does OPSI not boost affection?* I haven't seen any of my Ship's Affection rising and I've been playing it pretty often. Feel like the slight improvement I've seen was due to dailies and the occasional 13-4.
35:55 when you fight without the officers the chance to get better items increas when you kill big bosses or even multible one you get mostly goldstuff moving only around you mostly only get junk
@@AzurLaneMeta i think i read it in the campagne that the chance increase to find better stuff when fighting.... i mostly skip all but this was crossreaded xD. the level of the Officer and rearity also increases the chance too. but i am not shure if allwayes only the command cat or all cats are get lost. i now only that when i play battles i get often even gold parts but when i do only 1 or no battles its mostly junk. but it can only be luck too.
@@blacktemplar7102 It's random. I usually just move around, pick up boxes and sometimes it'll trigger the "meowfficer found rare loot". Also better meowfficer is better loot.
Hello Meta, thanks for the video. At the end of the day, is there a point in rushing the Operation Siren story? Is there a point in playing it even after you looted 200 ashes coordinates every day? Wish you a merry Christmas
No need to rush. If you do your 200 ashes coordinates a day you should be fine. I rushed for 1) making video early enough for people who needed help and 2) I want to test the new equipments (and rushing means more materials to make them faster).
You should definitely rush Chapter 1 to unlock Ashes Showdown and the 4 fleets. The submarines from Chapter 3 are also super handy (and a nice way to push some XP their way). Aside from that, it seems actually detrimental to rush too much, since only 'un-safe' nodes spawn the augmented sirens that drop coordinates, so you would need to spend a lot of AP getting super-hard zones or grinding lootdrops from supereasy zones for possible drops otherwise.
Its no perseus, but i Find Unicorn + Bel-Chan to be really nice for healing, I Stick a +10 toolbox and and a +10 Celestial body dress on her, That + Her Skill and High Luck make her a decent off tank, and Healing the entire fleet, Vanguard + Main Fleet for +151 a fight, doesnt seem like a lot, but especially for the back liners really helps give them more longevity, and takes the heat of unicorn a bit.
I hope they rotate back to Hirryuu at some point. I completely neglected to play during that time and got her at the last moment. I regret not spending more time.
Which things would u prioritize to get special item tokens?? I'm having trouble to buy all the shop items in 3 days (if I have bad luck I need 900-1200 special item tokens)...
Special Item Tokens are important. Use Akashi and shops to get tokens from coins. With tokens prioritize gold material packs, gold plates, and rainbow/gold special parts.
Hi mate, better tell me if You have info regarding Information - Confidential I documents guide for chapter 5 ? [those from archives] - till now I have only 1 - Mysterious I, and wondering if You perhaps hunt for them ? BTW Grate content - keep going mate :)
You know, when a fleet moves into a port city, the screen should probably automatically change to the port UI. I mean, why make the person click on an additional (rather inconspicuous) "button"? We all know the reason the person clicked on the port, right? I feel making it automatic would help intuitive control. I mean, the button to enter port can still remain in case someone exits the port UI & wants to reenter w/o needlessly forcing a player to move their fleet out of port & back into port (if the button didn't exist).
@@AzurLaneMeta Yeah, I would agree to that, unless they plan to do something at ports other than visiting them, such as a port coming under attack and you have to fight on the port map.
The addition of new ships like Shinano. And the addition of the new "hidden CV mechanic". Finally the fact that "Siren Killer" is less effective than previously thought for PR/DR ships because the +11/12/13 bonuses cap with Siren Killer making it less as important.
I'd love to know if its possible to change the fleet formation if you only still have 2 fleets. I'm not happy and took the wrong ships and dont how to change ship formation and swap ships out for other ships
Go to a blue port, look near the navigation system and click "Order", then look for "Fleet Deployment". You can change fleets there for the cost of AP (also it's free after waiting long enough).
You can pop in an out as much as you like. But just farming one zone typically isnt worth the time investment. You want to be using your AP for Strongholds, Loggers, and daily missions. Basically just trying to follow the mysterious map video I have on my channel when not doing the above 3.
I think a lot of things are coutnerintuitive and you cant get a lot of info because you are overwhelmed with cut-scenes so I just skip them because it takes forever to clear a map. About the fleet grind - that is not true. Yes about 1/4 of the map (mostly the story line) give 0 xp while the others give arround 300- 500 up to 1500 for MVP+flagship. I think its OK to grind (i use above 100 lvl grind fleet and 3x120). Yes its slow but its faster then dorm + you are there anyway so get XP because you cant grind there and do XP on the main at the same time. Even if you get only 500 , you do on average for casua player arround 100 battles/day (thats 50k free XP ,which is the same as in the Lecture hall for single ship only on max). The only thing I dont like is the puzzle maps. Most take a long time go thrue because you have to move arround in a specific pattern othewise it will reset and that just doesnt give anything to the game. Most people prefer to fight on auto while doing something else ,while this ting needs full atention.
I have an old video that is still somewhat applicable. Although with the CV buff, there are some changes (however you should still get through it with what I provided).
What's the most efficient and fastest way to level ships from 100-120? Like certain campaign missions, dorms etc, falling a bit behind on 120 lvl ships xD Merry xmas btw!
Time efficient goes to the highest level you can clear in the main story with the ship you want to level getting MVP (and Flagship if applicable). Place in Floor 1 dorm, use in Dailies/Hard Modes. And then if you have oil left over before bed put in 10 hr commission.
Perseus, Shinano, Akashi, Richelieu, Jean Bart, Amagi, Unicorn, Ryuuhou, and ANY PR/DR are pretty good. Usually bulky front liners will be better to stand against the constant torture. In my discord server in #meta-discussion-help channel you can send screenshots of your dock for more specialized help.
Master, is the 100 coordinate thing for meta girls obtainable in any already-explored map in Op Siren? my fleet too weak to fight lv78 and above enemies. D: sorry, i abit lazy to watch whole video. x.x
Lol oh boy, Gibraltar is not pronounced like it rhymes with vulture. Jeh-brawl-ter. Great vid though. Just started playing and operation sirens was giving me a lot of questions but only trickled answers, so thanks.
Already got a level 36 Hiryuu Meta with a level 3 red skill, and the blue skill unlocked, if only i could get the copes to completely max Hiryuu, but, i suppose that is what you get when you can't leave an area for 3 days because you skipped that part of the tutorial
It's going to take a while to get Hiryuu. Just make sure to get your daily 2 summons and 3 assists. You need 25k points total before mid-March to get a MLB Hiryuu META
This video is 9 months old. Many updates have changed some information. I keep it up to see the on launch version of OpSi. Here is a playlist of all the OpSi content I've made: ru-vid.com/group/PLRmZEeEWCYCAdPaudzipyQdfwg0T-Dp26 I plan to at some point make an abbreviated updated version of this. But that won't even start until at least after the JP anniv or maybe later if they continually update the game mode (I'd like it to be stable before releasing a video that would be outdated shortly after publishing).
