I didn't think they were that good but ECTL put Guichen, Painlevé, and Clemenceau into a pretty high tier so I ended up rolling to get them. I needed more ships to break up the monotony of French PR grind anyway. Now I have something other than Richelieu, Jean Bart, and Gascogne Muse to use in my backline and I have a useable front line now too with Brest, Marseillaise, Guichen. French still need a lot of help but when I used my new fleet to grind out the XP for Flandre during this current Unzen event I managed to finish the 2m XP grind before unlocking the rest of the assignments which I've never done before. Clemenceau seems way more effective with her preloads than Jean Bart ever was so I was clearing mobs out really fast compared to my old French farming fleet.
