New Jersey doesn't need another USS ship to activate her self FP & RLD buffs. If there's another one, she instead would buff the USS ships not herself.
Actually she would still buff herself, with a caveat. The wiki skill description reads: Increases this ship's FP by 5% (15%) and RLD by 1% (10%). When sortied in a fleet with other Eagle Union ships: Increases AA by 5% (15%) and decreases DMG taken by 5% for all your Eagle Union ships. Increases FP by 4% (10%) for your Eagle Union BBs and BCs (New Jersey herself is also affected.)
Since you mentioned PvP when talking about NJ, I’ll chime is as someone who gets Admiral of the Navy every PvP cycle for the past two years. NJ is the strongest PvP BB almost entirely because she’s the only UR who can carry the EU Elite Damage Con. Her other benefit is in her guaranteed crit barrage, but there are better PvP barrage BBs: Musashi and UvH. Mind you, how you gear for PvP is entirely different than how you gear for PvE. Building your PvP teams for theoretical max DPS like PvE is a guaranteed way to fail.
She can, it's just not as good against heavy as it is medium. The NP gun is about the same as the USS 406 MKD that you can get from the gear lab, so it's nothing new on that front. Against medium she'll obviously want to use it, and it will be very strong, but since it's just a tiny bit slower than the Champgun and Marco Polo gun (and even slower than 406 mk7 although it's not AP), plus she has no reload buffs of her own, it'll be difficult to get 4 salvos out in META fights using it
I am honestly sick of getting UR BBs at this point. Other types would be more interesting and would stop the constant contribution to power creep. That said good video, for those who need it, I was more interested in the commentary on Soyuz, which leads to my main question: I want to have Bismarck Zwei + Musashi + Soyuz vs Heavy armour, instead of my current Bismarck Zwei + Musashi + Vanguard. Is that a bad decision? Planning to test this, but maybe you have some insight. I feel like Vanguard can be replaced by Soyuz, but I might be wrong as I am thinking in theory. Doesn't really matter either way, I just like to use newer ships as they are released instead of existing ones to keep things fresh.
Soyuz + Bismarck + Vanguard would be slightly better but you can replace Vanguard if you want. A Musashi + Soyuz + Bismarck fleet would perform about the same on heavy armor as far as I’m aware.
I'm surprised you didn't mention NJ's comparatively-strong AA and AA buff in her strengths, since that feels like one of the main reasons you'd want her in Ch15.
Isn't Musashi>Zwei in terms of damage against medium armour? I remember CN placed Zwei below Musashi against medium and heavy armor. I guess it would be against medium Soyuz>Musashi>Zwei>rest As for the main gun choice, that is only for her barrage to be enhanced which is a huge enhance, but even without it her barrage is broken (although yeah it's worth it), but it can be ignored in some cases like for example if using her in mobbing, the NJ gun is a better pick in everything compared to the 410mm kai except of course rld time. You could also use 457mm on her, you would still have her having higher damage against med and heavy than Zwei (always according to CN) I might be wrong tho. If I am, let me know. I am just writing what I know and what I've seen from CN
You did Warspite dirty man, lmao. She is still a good beatstick with her high firepower and high accuracy. I was also playing around with my anti-sub fleet for chapter 14 and the fact that she can equip the anti-sub planes makes her fun to use and quite useful. She could certainly use an Augment or something as you weren't wrong about her falling behind all the other UR battleships.
I got through chap 15-3 & 15-4 with Bis Z with the Unfulfilled Promise aux in the mob fleet. It allowed me to clear the nodes with not as much trouble. I also used OG Bis with the same setup in 15-1 & 15-2.
Against medium and light, EU CV fleet (YorkII, Kearsarge, Implacable). Against heavy armor, SE CV fleet (Shinano, Hakuryuu, Implacable). Not much to talk about there.
BisZwei is pretty much the strongest out of all these. Black holes that sucked all the mobs, deal one of the highest DPS against all armor and basically trivialize late game "no ammo" situation in chapter 14 and 15 thanks to her cert aux. She's basically Azur Lane's version of Arknights' Surtr. While Surtr's only weakness is cannot attack air units, BisZwei only weakness is when the boss is outside her black hole range which is quite rare and not really much of a problem. Also thanks to BisZwei, Ironblood is the best mono faction fleet rn.
The biggest draw back of FDG is how poorly worded her second skill is in english. I always tought odd and even barrages would refer to the amount of projetiles in a barrage, so using tropple gund gives you DMG and RLD and using a double gun gives CritR and CritDMG....
