Thanks for this. For me this should be one of the more straightforward elements of APIM but for some reason I always found it really hard to understand how the components related to each other and what capability they provided. Most tutorials skirt over this topic.

Can we directly assign a product to user which is not present in Ad and in any group and can we also use the same user in oauth2 ?

If you are using the "Username and password" Identity provider, a "basic" user can be created within API Management. This user only exists in API Management. A user can be assigned a subscript. Subscriptions can be associated with various scopes: product, all APIs, or an individual API. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/api-management/api-management-subscriptions#scope-of-subscriptions
