Another Azure Red Hat OpenShift video - this time connecting Azure Active Directory to Azure Red Hat OpenShift for user authentication. Following the docs at aka.ms/openshi... and some nice scripts @stuartatmsft has built out on his github repo at github.com/stu...

Hi, great video, thanks! Question...we have OpenShift running on AWS and we have AzureAD suscription. We would like to use the OpenShift SSO to login to Azured AD services, for example Microsft Office 365. Do you think it's possible? Thank you in advance!

Depends on what you're trying to solve here - you can use your AzureAD credentials to log in to OpenShift by adding that in as an OpenID Connect provider, and then also using Red Hat's CoP GroupSync operator for the full experience on that side - github.com/redhat-cop/group-sync-operator, github.com/ms-jasondel/OpenShift/blob/master/docs/ARO%204.3/secure/configure-azure-ad-ui.md. This would get you people logging in to openshift using their AAD credentials, and leveraging the AAD groups replicated to OpenShift. If you're trying to have code running on OpenShift talk to Microsoft 365 service endpoints like lists, calling Azure functions and other stuff - it's a little more complex since then your code has to call into the Microsoft graph to get an authorization token and then call the M365 things you're talking to.

Feel free to DM me on twitter at lyledodge - there's a bunch of OpenShift people I know that could probably help you.

@@AzureInTheEnterprise Oh thanks for the quick answer. We're looking for the second one. We have OpenLDAP and AzureAd for authentication (it's an University). We're trying to unify the login in OpenShift SSO. So, when the user needs to access to Office 365 or the internal systems of the University, it will use only the login of OpenShift SSO..it will try internally to login first to OpenLDAP and then to AzureAD. Do you think it's possible? thanks again

@@erichgruttner Not sure honestly - I'm not that deep in the auth space. I pinged twitter.com/nicholas_redhat and twitter.com/DivineOps - someone on the OpenShift teams that also work with Microsoft should be able to help you.
