I have a fun theory that Luca plans out his brawl decks and releases them in a particular order to have a competitive advantage on the masses of followers who use all his decks. So a couple days after a decklist is dropped and ppl start trying it out, he's begun recording the follow up brew which counters the previous strategy.

My favorite part about Kogla is the "pick up a human to gain indestructible" ability. Saves him and azusa constantly, and people always forget about it. Moreover, faceless haven is a human too so you always have a sneaky 5 mana indestructible ability.

Any time legend does a historic brawl video, there is an immediate rise in players using that deck for the day. The worst was rat tribal. Soon as he played that deck I got steam rolled by too many rat tribal in one day

This deck is so much fun! I added Hollowhenge Wrangler from Alchemy in place of a missing mythic rare and it synergizes really well with "play lands from graveyard" effects as you can discard a land, get a 5/5 in hand, and replay the land. It also ensures you never flood out later on by turning all your drawn lands into threats!

Sick deck Legend! A question, did you not consider including Ashaya in the build? Making other creatures help you ramp and also being a huge threat alongside Cultivator Colossus

It was one of the last few cuts. Main reason is that we don’t have many early creatures, so the ability would have limited use.

Even better than "pretty likely" I thought was "we can't go wrong..." on the same play! Unlike most other plays, you very much can go wrong with this one haha. To nitpick though, it was a 25% chance to draw cards, 25% to discard his hand, and 50% chance to return cards from graveyard right? But yeah I wanted to see the discard just for variety :D And possibly hear LVD's incredibly rare "oh right, I forgot about that" reaction...

Whew, I have to admit once you have a bazillion lands and access to bit creatures, it does feel like you're toying with them when you pause to ponder WHICH game ending threat to fetch haha. Not saying it couldn't be a relevant decision, just probably one I'd not worry about much in unranked, especially given the matchmaker deficiency you mentioned at the end :)

From MaRo's NEO teaser: "a popular legendary creature from Champions of Kamigawa block returns in a new form," From Azusa's wiki, after she mysteriously disappeared: "Some even believe that she somehow managed to wander into the spirit realm itself." 🤔

That Druid class really feels surprisingly not-good in this deck! Apart from interrupting the "play your land enablers then dump them out without using the stack" sequence, it just slows down the many-lands turns. I might cut it just for the inconvenience... (29:50)

Game one was painful. You missed lethal (like you mentioned in the caption in the video), then your opponent missed their lethal with hasty Ghalta. Close one, as they say.

Does anyone have any idea how you dodge the algorithm matching you up against top meta stuff? I made an oglor historic brawl deck just as a proof of concept and it's absolutely terrible, but the game won't stop matching me up against the absolute cream of the crop top meta brawl decks and it's a lil frustrating.

That's unfortunate. In my experience the top tier decks include Heliod, Niv Reborn, Bolas Dragon-God, Golos, Kenrith, Sythis, Captain Sisay, Kinnan, Jodah, Rhonas, Esika, ... so those are more likely to get matched against each other.

#JustNissaThings honestly needs better UI, absurd you have to click each one. there should be a slider for how many basics to pull (two sliders if you mix snow and non-snow) then select the rest separately

Cultivator Colossus seems kind of at odds with Azusa considering it's rare for you to have lands in your hand by the time you have played it. Is it just there for another big curve topper that sometimes gains value?

We do have cards like Nylea's Intervention to combo with it and you can try to plan around it once you draw it. Especially once we start playing lands out of the graveyard or from the top of our deck we start accumulating more lands in hand.
