That guy is a fuckin legend. I consider him one of the best players ever. Too bad he is not praised for his mechanical gameplay. People think qiyana,lb and yone need skill, but the truth is you can all play them with one macro. Champions like Vel Koz need actual skill, not just because all of his spells are skill shots, but because he is squishy, and has no escape apart from using flash.So if you f*ck up your positioning or miss your E, you're done. Props to Azzapp!

It's absolutely true that if you don't hit your skill shots you won't succeed on Vel'koz, but he isn't nearly as unforgiving as you make him out to be with safe runes. You can take phase rush primary with bone plating unflinching secondary or legend tenacity and triumph secondary, and just never ever use your e unless their dash is down, and you are certain of a kill. If you always hold e to use it on yourself, he is really safe with phase rush. As we all know, there is almost no counter play to knock ups, tenacity does nothing, and they can't dodge it when they are on top of you. Once they are in the air u can auto+q or w to proc phase rush for free and run away with a mini ghost ad even slow resistance before they even fall. They most likely burnt their dashes getting on you so they can't follow up. I have been exhausted in my phase rush and ran away while under exhaust because the slow resistance is that strong. You have this escape option up like every 15 seconds, and they can't do anything about it, even if you back after every survived gank, they can't freeze against you because you are Vel'koz. You should always be able to push the wave in or break a freeze whenever you want to, and last hit from far away with your abilities.

I've 85% Win ratio on Velkoz. I Was Silver 1 and when i started to watch ALL his videos and live streams, I arrived yesterday on platinum 4, 4 months playing every day mid/sup

I swear. Vel'koz is probably one of the only champions I can think of next to... probably Aatrox, that has this absolutely insane wave of satisfaction to landing his combos and then getting rewarded for them. I wanted to main Vel as soon as I discovered him and while he is far from my only favorite (Sylas and Bard are my other loves), Vel'kos combos NEVER get old to watch. Watching Azzapp land combos is just as satisfying as watching people like Hashinshin landing full combos. Its satisfying as hell
