omg found the Womp song!! I have looked for this for years! Plenty of nights partying @ Sublime Home nightclub Sydney to this back in the day. Love it!
@@Synthega , hi/she says hi/she it was searching this song from 2001 (realease date was 1999) , about 18 years ....and accidentally find it on RU-vid .... later ... i think ... Hi/she puts a wrong comma in that phrase ...
It's one thing to listen this in your home, headphones, etc, and another to experience back in the day in a loud soundystem with hundreds of people dancing on high quality ecstacy, lol.
Oh my god, I found it! Had this recorded back in the day, over 10 years ago and never knew the name of the song or artist! What a fabulous day, this just made my life!
Every year, on the first day where its warm enough to drive with the windows down, I put this track on and just blast it while driving. Its my way of saying good bye to winter and welcoming in a new year.
God damn I've been looking for this song for years!! Still an absolute banger and I can't even put my finger on what makes it slap so hard but gees it takes you places
The one thing about COVID is it has sent me through a rabbit hole back in time to all of my favorite jams while working from home. Big ups to Timo Maas who introduced me to an entire new sound in electronic music!
The other techno-ier "womp" song, just in case someone is furiously looking for it is "Joy Kitikonti - Joyenegerizer". ...and the one with the puppet bopping his head is "Mr Ozio - Flat Beat".
Paris, France 1998-2000 - was off the hook! Some of the best DJ’s played. Lots of clubs- back then I was in my ‘20’s and I could stay up all night and dance. Ecstasy and “laughing cigarettes” 🤩 Now everything has fentanyl in it. It's hasn't hit Europe yet- its coming. Be careful. ❤
I wonder how may people have searched for the Wamp.. Wamp.. Wamp.. track and found it here? I can remember being in the thick of the club dancefloor off my nut and drunk as fuck on red 'aftershock' so close to the speakers - my hair vibrated when this beauty came on. what a Bassline! Ahh yes! this ones coming in the car tomorrow, Loud!
Myself and a friend were reminiscing over this sing , but couldn't recollect the name of it...Luckily I did remember that it was on one of the 'Pure Garage CD's, so I Googled the track lists for Pure Garage, and low and behold I found it lol Pure Garage 2 if you're interested. 🙂
i remeber EZ dropping this before official release. its the first time i saw the garage crowd request rewind 3 times in a row. mental clubbing moment! he even ripped off the vinyl artwork so nobody could tell what it was at the time.
This had me dancing in my van today on a dismal December day, reminded me of a sweaty hot nightclub in ayia nappa in the late 90s going crazy the good ol days still an epic banger
I got to know this about 10 years after it was released, in 2009 when I discovered the great essential mix by Leftfield from 2000. There are many tracks in the mix, which stand out but this one is really unique and bouncy. What a happy blast. Still love it to this day and finally ordered the record :) Much Love from Austria!
The first time I heard this tune was when it was requested by some students in the Student Union night club when I was studying at Guildhall in London. It would have been around the turn of 1999/2000. On the exact night of New Years I worked in the VIP lounge of the Millennium Dome (now O2 Arena) at Ministry of Sound's millennium party. Halcyon days. I still have the Ministry's 'Staff' T-shirt as a memento. Thanks for bringing back those memories again.
Hey its 2020 with the corona virus outbreak. As i am listening to this, i am waiting to check in my bags from Munich going to Greece, since everything closed for 14 days or more. Stay safe.
Timo Maas is one of the best DJ's around and he's a top bloke as well,,,,great set at Sankeys in Feb 2012. and he was really nice as well cos a lot of Dj's are up their own arses :)))))
Back in '99 I didn't "get" this track at all. Now however many years later it is, I appreciate it and would lose my shit in a club if I heard it. Genius in it's subtle complexity 👌
Timo Maas made this tune legendary with his remix!!!, I remember hearing the original in about 1997/98 and think meh! then Timo Maas remixed it in about 99/00 for mixmag magazine and BOOM! this was the result! Sick!!!!!!!!!!!
Супер! Музыка из моей юнности. Впервые этот трек услышал из сборника электронной музыки на магнитной кассете 😊 Кстати, трек всё так же актуальный на момент 2022 года 💥 Всем людям добра и мира.
I first ever heard this when Underworld did a DJ session on Radio 1 back in 2000.. Rick Smith was chatting away and said "oh, we just found this record today, Azzido Da Base? Bass? Whatever, it's great" and dropped it.. indeed it is
