I'm just like you. I have self taught myself several skills and one of them was welding. The other was computer repair which after 15 years of doing it as a hobby i decided to get my certifications and i was worried i would be lacking because everyone else in my class had learned by schooling. Turns out i got the highest scores in that class because all they taught in school was the books and i had the most on hand experience lol .. Never underestimate what a man can learn by himself when he puts his mind to it. And remember the first guy who received a college degree got it from a guy who made it up. You can learn whatever you apply yourself to. I'm ordering this welder now because it's a quarter the price and 3 times the functions of the ones in store. You remind me of myself how i taught myself. Thanks.

Thanks for the review. Question for you (I also have this machine). When you mig weld and you adjust the voltage, does the voltage show on the display or is that display only for the wire speed?
Oooh! Mine too! But I can't find anyone who will tell me it that's the way its supposed to be. Maybe it only shows the wire speed? and I can't find anyone who shows that voltage display changing in a review video...
biggest issue I had with that machine was in the field, the mig gun gets loose and out of its socket easy, also you can have nothing close to a partial loop in the gun line both will cause a birds nest with your wire, it weld nice on the bench but in the field, better off with the Titainium 125.
