I know this comment is almost a yr old, but just wanted to say, could not agree more! Of course it’s not the same as with Greg and Alex (I also know the British comedians better than these), but it’s a very good version indeed. It helps though that I understand a bit of swedish 🙂
I agree. Like all the otehr spinoffs they seemed to be missing some things but this one nailed the central elements (aka the guests who are into it and have chemestry as well as a unique/funny assistant) for me 🤗
I like it. I am glad they did not stray too far from the original format. And, admittedly, it took me a bit to start liking the format change. That said, if more episodes are posted, I will definitely be watching them!
@@jonasnygren7230 I asked the same thing to my Finnish friend when I asked him to translate what Bianca said! He said it wasn't quite clear, but he was pretty sure Marko replied with "Oh, you speak the language! Excellent!"
I never thought of the idea of having the 5th person be a new guest each episode. It's certainly an interesting twist. Not sure if I'm the biggest fan of it, it's still fun to watch, I feel like part of the fun is having the entire cast go through a season of tasks. But it's cool that to see a Taskmaster spin-off change the formula a bit instead of doing an exact copy/paste.
and now imagine having him on the morning radio, every day, on the way to school, your entire childhood. i grew up on his laugh. he is forever iconic to me
marko is an absolute legend. he visited my uni night club once and it is hands down my best night out ever. what a charismatic guy he is. great artist as well
I liked this one. The contestants were all wonderful, though Klaes was my favorite followed by Pia. I'm not as fond of the guest contestant format. It's not bad. It's just that I feel like it's the new guy who couldn't commit versus the old favorites of the season. I'm not sure how I feel about David as TA. I think I'd like a few more episodes. But I like his look and demeanor for the part. And he and Babban have good chemistry as he's a kind of supercilious assistant whom she occasionally puts in his place, but mostly it's all business. Also, I really loved their desks. And I liked Babban as Taskmistress. She has the sort of self-possession take on it that Jeremy Wells has. Also, I kind of like the guest judges as they were sort of additional minions that she had running around. I do think one of the things that I dislike and is part of what put me off the Danish one as well, was the Taskmaster saying "and we have had you do X weird task for some strange reason" as if they aren't the person behind all the tasks. I know Alex Horne is the one who does all the tasks for the original (with his team of writers and testers), and that Paul Williams is actually behind the tasks for the NZ version (with a similar team). But Greg and Jeremy never let on in any way that the whole thing wasn't their idea. That's the role they were hired to play, and they stick to it. So it kind of breaks the premise of the show when the Taskmaster is like "What a weird and strange thing we asked you to do" rather than "TA, please explain the task to the audience." (Pause) "Yes. Very good. Let's see how you dealt with my game of face-based geometry" or "So just a Saturday evening game of Slap and Tong" or whatever.
David Sundin went on the TM People's Podcast and said that the first year, SVT (the network BiT airs on) had licensed two shows, and gave each four episodes. BiT was preferred by the audiences over whatever the other show was. S2 and S3 had eight episodes each. All subsequent seasons are full seasons - BiT does nine episodes per season, and the tenth episode consists of all the unaired tasks from that season.
