Yes the nutmeg makes a nice difference! It’s not like when I taste it I think…Oh yes! I can taste the nutmeg..no, it’s just a nice subtle flavor enhancement that just hits the right note beautifully in bechamel sauce! Thanks Joe!

As a kid I hated this sauce and the nutmeg . My Grandmother used it on vegetables, potatoes and I swear on everything she cooked. Now I'm learning how to make it but my vegetables won't see it. lol

Hi Joe love each and every video you post. Really feel the energy through your videos. 1 question what make of espresso cappuccino maker do you have on your counter. Looking to invest in another one but having trouble choosing one. I used to have a Gaggia it was amazing but after 18 years it decided it was used too much. Keep up the amazing work you do 👏

And if I put everything together, flour included, and cook it all strongly? Does the flour also loose the raw taste? Must it be cooked when its dry? Actually, if its hot, its hot, doesnt it?

Yeah, by starting the nutmeg in the melted butter, you are "waking up" the spice just as Indian chefs do when they start a dish. More flavor!

Once I bought a bottle of oil and the oil was clear….like water. Tasted awful.

@@leonardoiglesias2394 good thing just their bottle was clear and not the oil. Sounds like you got ripped of with some baby oil or something cuz olive oil is never clear. Next time go for the clear bottle instead of the oil 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol light hearted jokes

I've never had Bechamel cause before. What do you recommend serving it with? Just over pasta?

I lived in Italy, and they used the sauce for lasagna in place of ricotta.

What were the measurements you used in the video because it looked like you only used 2 table spoons of butter and definitely not a whole cup of flour?

Absolutely insane to say you are working with equal parts in weight and then say you need 1 cup of flour. Come on Joe get with it. Americans are so f'g arrogant. USe the metric system it's so easy.
