A burnt off’ring to the godz of speed metal - that is the most adequate description we can give when you ask us what we're about. Or we might say BÜTCHER is your ticket to mayhem, your flight to where eagles dare, your trip from the dark past... We guess those hints might cover it better because the revival of all things 80's and beyond means to be labeled. And we don't want to be labeled anything other than metal. Pure, unpolished, unadulterated, fast, heavy, epic metal. And we just call it speed metal because that is the term within the realm of absoute metal might that has thát edge to it. That razorblade feel that like a heated knife cuts through the need to sound polished as pop and fitting in on every bill, and that slashes through every voice that calls for being progressive or whatever other overrated contemporary conception 'they' might think of. You know who 'they' are.
So, as much as you find the speed metal swirl on Banzai records by Bathory, Tokyo Blade, Hallow's Eve, Exodus or Running Wild, we as BÜTCHER present you a furious frenzy of speed, black & heavy metal - all brewed in a cauldron of analog & vintage recording material. An acquired taste in these modern times then, but to give you an idea, we're surely to be savoured by metal maniacs that have an affection for Agent Steel, Celtic Frost, Nifelheim, Venom, Exciter, Darkthrone, Manowar, Deströyer 666, Slayer and the likes.
