Despite a lot of hates for this game, i love Horizon so much. Until this day, this is the best Ace Combat game for me. The graphics, the story, and highly mentioned, DFM mode. Maybe its not realistic, but a feels of fighting 1 vs 1 with guns, and the blow out target after shot it down, really gave me chills.
Well that’s the reason why AC fans (including me) hate this game, DFM and this game basically trying to be a plane game of COD is why it sucks for the majority pf AC fans.
@@amei_G80_BmwM3 i dont blame them to hate Horizen, since DFM is revolutionary mode that so different from how fans of AC usually play it. Not easy to take new changes, right? But i can relate your opinion, maybe because i love FPS/TPS game too. DFM makes Horizen more like intense shooting games than plane-arcade fighting games. But yeah, for some reasons i dont like DFM used for majority plot. Espesially when you need to finish the mission with DFM
@@lamberthezekiah208 it’s revolutionary in a bad way. Ace combat is meant for dogfights and you do your maneuvers, in this game it’s just , quick time event, keep it in the red circle, not to mention the boss fights were scripted af
I always liked this bomber mission from this game. I even like how the developers used the same type of story from other Ace Combat games, when one side is pushed to the brink of defeat, they always resort to using WMDs. But my question is, why? I enjoy the Ace Combat games a lot, but in most of the stories, the losing side becomes so desperate to avoid defeat, they begin using weapons that don't help them win, it just causes destruction, confusion, and chaos. Most likely, using a weapon like that ICBM, it wasn't going to help the NRF win the war, it would just lead to international condemnation, and unite the world against them. A few more examples from Strangereal: 1. Ace Combat 2: Rebels use Fortress Intolerance to attempt to launch ICBM at Yuktobania, won't help them win, just causes a global conflict. 2. Ace Combat 4: Erusea uses cruise missiles to stop an ISAF landing, won't stop the ISAF offensive, just delay it. Then they use Megalith to divert Ulysses fragments, they already lost the war, won't help them win. 3. Ace Combat 6: Estovakia fires dozens of cruise missiles at Emmeria's capital city, Gracemeria. They have already lost the war, now they want to target civilians. Cruise missiles fail, now they use massive railgun to target Gracemeria, also to target civilians, and again a failure. 4. Ace Combat 7: Erusea is pushed into defeat again, so they use ICBMs from one of their missile bases to target Osean forces, won't help them win, just cause chaos and confusion.
Cause they're the antagonists lmao and when antagonists play their final card in a game's story,it's always some form or derivative of a WMD attack in order to raise the stakes further
Man, this mission. I remember going crazy, bombing the enemies below to oblivion. It's a shame this game wasn't remastered or anything, it's underated.
Its been years since I have played this. If I recall correctly was it possible to replay the mission with the B-2. I might be wrong but I kinda remember something along thoes lines.
Normally these radars,SAM and AAA would be cleaned out by SEAD packages with standoff weapons and antiradiation missiles. In case that there's no time to Surpress the Enemy Air Defense, they'd go in with B-2 stealth bombers and F-35 as strike package. The F-22 will also kill the MIGs well before they see the Raptors. All in all, this is a game, and a game is not always realistic
It's a shame that the game is too much "hollywood piloting" for my taste. Everything is done to give the impression of "excitement" for teenage players and without giving any importance to any coherence whatsoever.
