I saw them in concert September 11, 1979 for their 1st album open for Talking Heads in Houston at the Music Hall. One of the best shows ever. Changed my perspective on music that night.
I must have purchased this tape six times because it would keep popping from use. Talk about an album where every song hits hard and flows so well together.
This group was in their prime during shortly after my high school days. Sadly, not unlike a lot of other off-the-wall groups, I didn't appreciate what they were doing. Thanks to RU-vid and other social medial outlets I now have an appreciation for what they did. This song is a perfect example of what I missed out on. What a great set of vocalists. Damn! (No, Devo will never be appreciated by me!)
Unfortunately for Cindy her ability to sing is pretty much gone. Kate is trying to carry her as subtly as she can but at some point the B-52's as they are now will have to graciously take a final bow and leave the stage. Hopefully they will do that before it becomes embarrassing.
