I feel I should write something about this one, as along with Robert Miles....B.B.E. were hugely responsible for my transition from the mid 90's Hardcore scene into Trance (along with one or two others). I'd certainly enjoyed and loved some of the earlier Trance tracks and guess I never really thought too much about genre back at the time when the likes of The First Rebirth, Lost In Love etc were releasing, but I feel this is where I went 'full on Trance' and have never looked back since. Massive thanks to Tom Wilson (RIP) and his awesome 'Bonus Beats' show on Forth FM in Scotland, for introducing me to so many awesome tracks and this amazing genre we call Trance :) Legendary track!
Sometimes I wish I was born 10 years earlier or so to live the amazing 90's trance (and some other genres) amazing years (was born in 1985). I have some memories, just not in raves! Keep posting amazing music brother!
I had been a massive “dance” music fan in the early 90s buying loads of imported vinyl from 23rd Precinct Records in Glasgow. Then I began to drift away from the scene and clubbing in general. Tracks like this, and Flaming June hooked me right back in and, despite being around 23 years old started clubbing again and discovered the wonder that was Trance and Ibiza by the late 90s.
I have no idea why but 5 mins on gets me really emotional, fighting back the tears style haha but not in a sad way. Trance is special this way but there are certain tunes that press a button, its truly amazing aha thanks for sharing!
1996. Damn son.. I’m getting old.. 🙄 Remember it like it was yesterday. Me busy with cassette tapes recording tracks like this from the radio such as Rollos productions, Faithless, Orbital, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers etc.. The 90’s were such a awesome time to grow up in! 😃
I was 3 in 96, but around 98 or so I started getting actual memories and my parents loved electronic music of all kinds, so I got to experience electronic music from the 70's to then and now I still love electronic music.
@scorpioone3932 Can you take me to MAYDAY Dortmund/Germany on May 30th 1994? That was one of the most legendary raves of the 90s in Europe.. Everyone was there, Marusha, Westbam, Carl Cox, Jones&Stephenson, Dave Clarke and 25,000 ravers..
God, this came out when I was 9. Even then I knew I liked ‘dance’ music - ive never been into ‘bands’ like my mates - the time they used to spend arguing between Blur & Oasis around this time!!! I remember this track because my local Asda store had a draw your parent competition and I won my age group (drew my dad as a couch potato 😂) so I got £ 100 in Asda gift vouchers. I cant really remember what I spent £100 on as a 9-10 year old but I do remember specifically buying a cassette pack of ‘In the mix 97’ (still have them) and this was one of my favourite tracks on there. I played those cassettes so much man. Memories....
I’ve listened to this track countless times in my teens, 20s, 30s, now 40s. It never gets old. Always brings me to a peaceful, thoughtful state of mind. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I used this song for an assignment in school ~1997-1998 because it was so meaningful to me. Apparently it needed to have meaningful lyrics, so I failed the assignment. I maintain that it still has deep meaning and the teacher was in the wrong 😆
I'm a teacher myself. I'd have given you full marks and put you forward for a scholarship. In terms of lyrics, it says 'OOOOOO-OOOOOOOH...' which totally counts anyway.
Teacher was definitely wrong. What about classical music and alot of others that don't have words? Don't need words to express the emotions and feelings to a song. If I was your teacher, I would give you a A+
I went back from this song. It is unforgettable memories. The same feeling is due to the feeling of a beautiful, reckless youth. This song means a lot to me. This song. Thank you very much, brother, for these beautiful and unforgettable memories.🙏🌹📸📻🔊🎶🎵🙌
I remember being right at the end of the last year of school and my friend and I were watching the video to this on the TV in his livingroom. We were discussing how hardcore had had its day and that this was the future of music.
For some odd reason I thought this was going to be ATB's "9PM (Till I Come)" which I've never been a massive fan of but thought I would give it a listen anyway... and then as soon as it started I realised what it actually was and bloody hell if I hadn't forgotten all about this track and how good it is. Thank you.
Sure this is a classic. 3 godfathers of Trance, 90/91 Techno/rave and even New Beat together brings one of the best all time trance tracks!!! Emannuel Top, Bruno Sanchioni and Bruno Quartier did themselves released over the years many great records. Bruno Sanchioni even as early in '87/'88 with great all time New Beat classics on Diki records under alterego like Dr. Phibes, Chico Crew, Plexus and Bazz. The other side of this record (personal for me it's a double a-side) with the track Hypnose (13'10") is absolutely not doing under for this track. And the other 12" from B.B.E like Flash and Revision 1 & 2 are also a must.
I was twelve when this came out my dad used to kill this track, always love avein a little rave to it with him, rip big man, and ill see you on the other side.
