Glad to hear. I really like the -10 close range and helmet use but I think the majority of folks are going to want the -3 on a gun.

I wonder at what range the 3 becomes eye safe, with and without the diffuser.

@@createthiscom they list the NOHD in the operator manual for both of them.

@@createthiscom I just checked and they only list high power no diffuser. I checked their site to see if it was publicly listed and it’s not so I don’t want to share detailed info. What I’ll say is I wouldn’t want to be any closer than 1-2 meters non magnified 😉

I don’t have one to show any footage but the -3 is large enough that it wouldn’t be an issue as long as you have it mounted tight to the gun close to the bore.

I had a MAWL for a while but didn’t do one because there’s a lot of content out on it already. Maybe I’ll do one next time I get my hands on one. Not sure when that will be

AGM makes (or at least made) one but I have zero experience using it and cannot say which mounts will fit on it. The KIJI uses the Surefire Scout ecosystem and so the rail needs to accept a Scout mount. The OEM Surefire Scout single lug picatinny thumbscrew mount probably has the best chance of working. Do a google search for AGM PVS-14 picatinny adapter and you should find it pretty easy

@@thegolflife7565 no, it’s a fixed divergence other than the diffusers.

It's possible with full power pointers but not in all conditions. You can get so much bloom that it can make it considerably difficult to place more precise shots. A properly matched illuminator eliminates the bloom and gives a crisp aiming dot. Yessir, the K1-3 and RDS would be an inexpensive way to get IR aiming capability, and I recommend that to many guys on a budget for passive & active aiming solution. Add an OTAL-C and TAPS SYNC down the road. If you haven't seen it, check out this video with the K1-10 & OTAL-C. I'm not going to do a vid with the K1-3 and OTAL-C because the video won't come. Cameras can rarely capture it through night vision (always appears too bright) so you wouldn't be able to see the OTAL-C's dot. Using extra IR or filming under a bright moon helps but then you're going in the opposite direction where it reduces how the output performance looks.

I would expect so considering how many 3v light bodies are in use and if they get enough request/demand for it but don't quote me on that.

You get 40 degrees. You can buy the diffusers from BEM separately

Basically, yes. A MAWL is a better overall system than a KIJI combined with an IR pointer, but with limited space the KIJI combo is a good alternative for a civilian legal output level

@@blackbushido since the KIJI is an illuminator, it has a lot more output, and someone would be able to see where the source is coming from

As expected, the -3 with the 40 degree looks pretty much identical to the -10 with the 40 degree. I didn’t bother with the 10 degree on the -10

@@FlowBaka IMHO, the -3 is fine the way it is with the 10 degree diffusor, however, the 40 degree is also very useful. Especially inside structures on a lower PL. If they become available separately I'd recommend getting one to try it out.

IMHO it’s better. Being laser based, the K1-3 has a tighter beam without the extra flood you see with the LED lights. It’s programmable and the toggled mode is awesome to quickly switch from the highest power to lowest with a quick triple tap and hold.

I ended up returning the 10 . The only use I can see for it is indoors. The 3 is great on a helmet. I have mine on setting 12 and it’s awesome

The body uses the Surefire lug format, so any mounts that are compatible with SF bodies will work with the KIJI. On the TNVC site, go to the “brands” menu and look under “S&S Precision” for the IFM 3V light body rigid mount. Also in brands, look under “Reptilia” for their 3V light body mount. These are MLOK light bodies meaning you’ll have to swap the KIJI head & tail cap over to the body. If you want to use a tape switch, then you’ll need to get a Surefire tail cap such as the DS00 or UE07 with the SF pad, or just get the tail cap (whichever one you prefer DS or UE) and add a Unity Tactical TAPS Sync or Hot Button.

Get the Arisaka side scout mount for picatinny, and mount the KIJI light body to it. To clarify mount it to the OC pic rail. Another option is to get a Thyrym Variarc and mount the side scout to it
