I found your channel while doing leisurely research on Tab campers. I am certainly warming up to these rigs! My wife and I sold our 33’ standard travel trailer as it was just too much for us. We like camping however, and we agree that next go round, the focus will be on touring, not taking an entire house with us! I like your presentations because they are focused on a subject rather than rambling around. I subscribed because of that and your matter of fact manner of explaining things. We have been looking closely at Aliners but the strong knitted together aspect of the Tab is changing my focus. Thank you for taking time to post these great videos. Wow, that Colorado scenery!

I loved this real life, real time review of an ongoing trip, very unscripted, genuine and as always informational and helpful! Gina is one lucky lady to be getting schooled by the best. Wish I was there!

This was great! Thank you for sharing your experiences while boondocking and the challenges that you faced. I would love it if you would share your itinerary for the Colorado area as I am wanting to head there in Sept 2022. THANK YOU!!

On my Tab 400 I can set the Alde to high altitude mode from the panel. I haven't had any troubles with the Alde or the stove at high altitudes. Typical altitudes here in Northern New Mexico are from 6,000-10,000 feet. New Trailer issues are a bummer and hopefully the water pump issue is quickly resolved. Still waiting for Dometic to acknowledge warranty repair on my cool cat. Luckily, I didn't have to cancel all the camping planned this year. Hopefully, it is fixed before next season. We will see if we get one more trip in before winter.

The CSS has a different stove than the 320 S but we think she might have just needed to get rhe propane moving. We were able to use my stove and a portable stove she had with her, thankfully. The Alde worked awesome in high altitude mode!

Just bought our 2022 320s boondocks! We will be towing with our Subaru Outback Wilderness. It looks like Gina is pulling hers with an outback also. Wondering how it did in the Rockies? We live in Colorado! Glad you had a wonderful time!

You mentioned that your pipes froze solid. Didn't that damage them? We often camp where the potential overnight temps hover around 30° for a short amount of time ( usually 5 - 7 am )...I , not my husband, am a bit nervous about freezing damage to our 2018 320s pipes during this time. We never winterize our trailer as we live in Coastal Northern California. Can you insulate the under belly and pipes in a Tab? Thanks Jenn
@JennGroverPhotography
@JennGroverPhotography 2 года назад
My pipes didn't freeze, my water hose froze. You could add some insulation as well as tank heaters. I spent several nights boo docking and dry camping around 28 degrees and was fine.

Love your videos! I have a 2021 Tab 320S with the bookdock package. I have had a similar problem with my fresh water pump. (Actually 2 pumps.) Do you know what the result of Gina's situation turned out to be? When I was boondocking and the pump didn't work; I was able to use a clean bucket under the fresh water drain valve to have water for washing dishes (heated on a burner), flushing the cassette and staying clean, although I did miss the shower. Still had a great time!

Reach out to your dealer and they should be able to help you assess. You have two pump switches, but just one pump. It's like a three-way light switch

@@JennGroverPhotography Thanks for your reply. I have reached out to my dealer (who is 330 miles from me). I had replaced one water pump myself due to the distance to my dealer, and now that pump won't prime either. I will need to take it in so someone can look at it; I was just hoping for more information about airlock situations, both why they occur and how to resolve them in case that is my situation, rather than a bad pump. I absolutely LOVE my Tab, 'Taboodle ', which I pull with my Subaru Outback XT , 'Kit'. I am a recently retired widowed 70 year old woman and this combination is proving to be perfect for my adventures.

Why don't you use grey water to put down the toilet? Would save your fresh.
@JennGroverPhotography

You could do that but grey water can have a bit of a slight odor.
