I was 64 on Saturday 1st April 2023. I remember driving home late at night in 1981, had dropped off my then girl friend at the time after a few pints as you did back then. This song just seemed to echo through the car from my stereo cassette player. Full moon in the sky driving along the country roads home it was so surreal. I was so young back then and so full of life, great days.😎
Yeah, You go wanting 12 inch items today they'll either say 'you're a pervert or nympho( if female) or you'll be told ''we don't sell pizzas here?'' lol
Wow! I don't think I heard this song before. It is filled with a beautiful energy. As always with B-Movie, the bass playing is phenomenal, and so are the keyboards. All great players. I love this band very much and I wish there was some documentary or cd/dvd revision with quality videos, rare tracks, great liner notes, present-day interviews. etc. Long live B-Movie.
Luv this song and along with it all the GEMS thats been long Forgotten, or Lost or otherwise wiped from the collective librabry of precious musical records.
This an early and better version, but I first came across them on the only full album, Forever Running. Compared to most post-punk, it stands up well as a track. A bit of Skids and Magazine. Worth a listen.
Am 6 yrs behind u but can remember seeing them live in Pompey then Brighton the following night…one of my favourite bands courtesy of John Peel & Annie Nightingale…unsung heroes… I can remember forking out £50 on a limited edition Marilyn Dreams!!! Memories ☺️
This 'for' me is the perfect tribute 'from the 80s Generation' for the fallen of the great war as we prepare to remember a century of ' another world war that soon followed along with all the little proxy wars such as Vietnam and Korea along with The Balkans and Middle eastern conflicts etc. we have these occasions to remind ourselves that we all love peace but we kinda find it hard too come by, also maybe its because sending in B-52s or a carrier battle group is easier than telling those who oppose us ''Look' now we need to meet around a table because then we can ask you how you'd feel about Bagedad or Pheog Yang vanishing in a mushroom cloud?'' And this band B-Movie are from my neck of the woods in Notts, (and i'm proud of that)_ I feel they're an outfit who were unlucky not to get the breaks they deserved back in the day, after all ' their hits such as 'Nowhere Girl and this one' were as good as any New Wave stuff around at the time?
@@stephenroche5107 British imperialism, some imperialism when the world welcomed us with open arms and we did it with a tiny army of volunteers is the proof of that? If we'd had to scrap with where we set foot we'd never have succeeded. We didnt subjugate, we dazzled and amazed with our knowledge and occupied with holding the natives spellbound who looked at us in awe of our British knowhow afterall we gave the world the industrial revolution and when we came to grant colonies independence, you know what they asked us? "May we remain in this commonwealth?" (which is another name for Empire of course!)😂 But hey, we've stopped the Navy pressganging drunks in the ports, but we still allow walking the plank? We arn't that politically correct!
