@@Keksdose2k Agreed, I can’t possibly see that as a serious response; either that or he/she has somewhat peculiar audio preferences. In some ways the comparison is rather unfair - the A5’s innards, drivers and sound quality are light years ahead of the Emerge. To me, the Emerge is all about compromising sound for the sake of its (admittedly very pretty) “bookend” form factor. Even my Beolit 20 leaves the Emerge in the dust. I think you would need 2 x Emerges (ie. about 2 x $1,880 AUD) as a stereo pair to even begin to approach the A5’s (around $1,950 AUD) sound quality. Nope, the A5 is the far better device here, in terms of audio quality. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re really into the Emerge’s looks and form factor, maybe have very limited desk/shelf/room space, maybe have a specific need/desire for that type of active speaker, or you just prefer the way it sounds - then all power to you ! The Emerge is still a beautiful device for its design and purpose. 😉
yeah to me the A5 sounds bass boosted articially, like Bose speakers... to bad. B&O should keep to their natural sound signature like the Emerge!@@dekkerfraser
