What an anointed song, I could feel the presence of the Lord thank you Jesus there is peace in the midst of our storms! Praise you Jesus. I can play this song over and over and over and over again!!!
I have listened to this song sang by Sis. Mickey Mangum and it has touched the depths of my soul! Many, many times throughout my 36 years of living and serving our great Lord and Saviour, He surely has brought me peace in the midst of my storms! Thank You, Jesus!!
Oh my! First time I've ever heard this sister sing. Just happened upon this video. Wow. I've never think that sound could come from that small frame. God bless you sister!!!
Although I'm wind swept and battered, I can find peace in the midst of a storm...He gives me peace in the midst of a storm. When life's final picture is taking form, in a dark room of suffering... I got an anchor!!! I got a rock, that I can build my faith upon, He gives me peace in the midst of a storm!!!! Ehhh, Ehhhh, Ehhhh! He brings me peace in the midst of a storm 👐👐👐
I love her rendition! I've been listening to this for almost 10 years! This brought me through university! I was actually searching for another version with male vocals but this came into my life and I love it so much!
@preacher1661 I was raised in POA. My life with The Manguns was incrediable! Bro, A. was my youth pastor then, and so many times he tried to get me to just give in and let God take care. Im in Texas now and wished I would have listened more to Bro. Anthony when he"d cry and pray and call out my name. And I gave him attitude, This song is really hitting home now! It's wonderful!
I just love this song.. It touched my heart.. Especially when I lost 3 people in a matter of 4months.. I listen to this song over and over, Theres nothing like the peace of God...I just love hearing Sis Mickey singing..
what a beautiful women of christ.....i love you mickey.....michelle landers from greenville tx living word church....i admired you when you were at our church in greenville tx
Mickey is awesome , because Jesus is first in her life, and because she is nice! Be nice, it matters! What a lesson to learn from a Daddy, and Let the Heavenly Father fine tune it! I love ya Sis. MM and some day we will make it to the cabin.
To me, it is clear that this lady truly is anointed in singing this song, and I appreciate your sharing it. This song has special meaning for me in that it was sung by our local church choir both at my Mother's and my Grandmother's funerals. Each time I hear it, I am reminded "He gives me Peace in the Midst of the Storm!"
I love the background preacher. And historically this call and answer singing goes back to African slaves singing of the same vintage as Amazing Grace. And Pentecostilsm has its origins in the Great Azusa Street Revival of 1906 in Los Angeles.
@TheLawgirl26 ....God is well capable of turning lemons into lemonade...He does exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or THINK!!! Just be patient...you will be like butter in milk being churned...you WILL come out on TOP...TRUST GOD!
The UPC in recent years is exchanging this type of Holy Ghost anointed music for the "pop-rock" Rick Warren seeker-sensitive style music that has absolutely NO Holy Ghost anointing! Return to the Old Paths!!
@@davidsimons1832 there are core beliefs and then there are standards. They haven't compromised their core beliefs! Their biblical core beliefs are what is most important! If anyone from this time period had walked back into the bible days they would have been deemed a prostitute because of the way they are dressed. It wouldn't have been considered modest at all! In 2018 even the most conservative of pentecostals that aren't UPC would be considered highly immodest in comparison to biblical days. The point is, times change, people change, culture all around the world is different... etc. Its gotta mean something more than just a flat plain drawn line of women dont wear pants, dont cut hair, dont wear jewelry, etc. Theres so much more than that. Please please take the chance and go back to church. I know its hard. If you knew me and my story you would realize I understand. But theres strength in going to church with a body of believers that gives strength like nothing else. Dont give up on that.
@ interestedsurfer-You are 100% correct. After finding Mrs Micky and this song in a very difficult time, I looked up the UPC convention which was starting right at that time. What a disappointment. They just as well be Baptist. And, long ago I realized that this new "music" has broken our historical connection with our ancestors where most of the cherished hymns were written after the Reformation. TV is the reason because thy have to pay royalties if its broadcast. I do watch Sonlife TV because if the music.
@TXBYUGURL1 Bless you Sister''' we've all made the wrong roads in life..I really want you to know no matter what rd. you choose my God is only a breath away.. he say;s that he will never leave nor forsake us! I' am living proof here today =) J.T-n-Louisiana
