The Balrog now has newer versions called Balrog X and Balrog Z. I understand this review is kinda pointless since you cant buy this version anymore, but I want to review it anyways since it will have some similarities. The full review will show up when I can get some decent mileage on it.

Thinking of buying the Balrog X, seems like decent value.

I ride mine in NYC and I love it. Right over sewer caps. Rocks and sticks. No problem. The only problem is the wheels aren't balanced.

They changed the look because D Kwan didnt like red instead of listening to customers instead of him because he reviews boards, that sucks when they listen to 1 person & NOT their customers

thanks for vid! I haven't done my due diligence like I do with most hobbies, and I'm thinking about a somewhat impulsive buy. Any regrets about belt drive over direct drive? I'm looking at the Balrog Z as well as the X. Do I order right from their website and it will be a long wait ? (in your opinion). Thanks!

I guess if it were me, I would buy the balrog X (belt drive) because with belt drive when you change the wheels out you can change the pulley as well, so you get versatility of changing wheels. You'll notice when ordering the Z(DD), they do not offer an AT 6" wheel option. No regrets over ordering a belt drive. Ordering for me took a long wait. 2 months. But I ordered it from China and it had to ship to the States. Probably much quicker ship time if you live in the states and choose the US warehouse.

@@Raven_of_Doom The Zealot S to my understanding is in a different tier of e-skate. It would be an electric street longboard category. The Balrogs are in the 2 in 1 category, being larger in size, bigger battery, and offer AT wheels. Models similar to the Balrog would be like: Ownboard Bamboo AT Pro or the Meepo Hurricane.
