l have worked for two large well known companies and the posting on social media of ships operations is prohibited. There has been incidents in the past where cargo claims have been questioned as ships operations were posted on social media prior to a claim being made to the P & i club,There were some malpractices spotted by insurance adjusters.Don't for one minute think that P&i club surveyors are not watching social media because they are as well as port state inspectors. If you want to see correct maintenance procedures refer to the engine manufacturers instructions there is plenty information on line.
