It would be appreciated if you answer my questions below 1. Should I fill travel itinerary column and DS -160 and prepare the itinerary document for proof ? 2. My parents date of intended travel is DEC 11 and appointment is on NOV 13. Will that work ? Or should I change the travel date?

Very crisp information, thank you for the video. FYI - even in Chennai, I was asked to get a latest updated DS 160 as my form was more than a yr old.. It takes time to reopen the DS 160 form.. so pl go prepared with the security question you would have entered while submitting D160. I noticed senior citizens struggling with this as most of the times, there kids would have submitted the form on their behalf and may not know the security answer.

My family B2 visa interview is upcoming, but the application and DS160 was submitted on March 2022. Nothings changes from then to now except my H1B employer, I'll provide my previous employer H1B stamp and the current employer's I797A. Will there be any problem?

in 2004 I was refused. now I want to reapply after long. there was a question have you ever been refused I must say yes. but that will make any difference ? I have travel history of Europe , Russia, Dubai, Qatar .for the same purpose... I am going to apply... any future I should be prepared.?

Mine Biometrics is on 28th March, 2024 Mumbai, but mine DS160 Application is of October, 2022. Recently we Filed New DS160 Application but got new Application No. So now I have Appointment Confirmation with old Application No. Plus Old & New both Ds160 Confirmation. Is it enough or we need to do anything further before Biometrics. Also which documents to carry for VAC.

Thank you for the information. I have a question. As you said for the first question, try to be precise. I applied for my dad and he responded saying that he wants to come and meet me. Also, the other issue that I was having was that he is hard of hearing and he got refused. He is above 70 and there is no way for him to stay here longer. I am not sure what he should do to convince the visa officer.

So sorry that happened to him. It usually depends on the visa officer. He must have thought that your father will stay back if he's not able to show any roots in India i.e any reason to come back to India. You should apply again. But ask him to say that he's coming to the US for tourism and that his son will show him around. But you'll still have to show that he has a strong reason to come back to India - i.e either a job or family or business.

What does that even mean? L2 is a spouse visa and if your spouse has L1 then they can apply for green card in EB1 category

Yes, we have an option through L1( my husband's company is ready to file L1 visa ) but the Question is same EB1 category is still having a long wait...that's why I am looking an option if we go on L visa what is the possibility for getting green card

Yes. During biometric appointment you can tell the new DS160 number and they will update it in your visa application.

No. You just need to fill the ds 160 form, pay the fees, appear for an interview and get the visa.. Ask your son to help you with this process if possible

Hi..My situation is quite different..I have my H1 visa approved and I'm planning to take my mother and son along with me for initial few days. So here when they ask why are you traveling, if she says, she would be there for vacation and be with daughter for few days, will that be fine?Since I'm not in US yet and never I was there earlier as well. She is a government employee and so she would be returning back. Also I gave duration of stay as 6 months in Ds160.So will that cause a problem? Request your suggestion here

No it shouldn't be a problem as long as you can show that there is a strong intention of coming back and since your mom works here and will be taking leave to spend time with your daughter that should be totally ok. 6 months in ds160 is fine but when they ask question you can be more specific like mom will travel with me and come back in 2 months or something like that is safer answer
