Thank you captain for this video definately helps me visualize the steps and nnc for my ongoing command upgrade. Give me a shout when in Singapore will have to bring u out for dinner!
Nice to see you back online with excellent Technical material Abdul....Also happy that your new videos are always matching with my recurrent days ! :-)
Well presented and articulated Captain! how about Documenting a video for how Non Rated candidates can better prepare themselves on a sim they are not trained on during an Airline Simulator screening exercise with respect to raw data manual flight?
Please Captain I had a question, on the performance in flight (qrh) after setting 10pitch 80n1, there is no unreliable speed to compare to the table. So when you reach line 7 & 8 of the nnc how would you compare? And with what? Would you just compare with the 3 flight instruments? Thank you. Love your videos. Really helpful!!
Hello lovelifegame, My apologies for the late reply, Actually as per the QRH, “at least my understanding of it 😉” after you set the pitch and thrust as per the table that is for weight and altitude, and you trim the airplane, if you see one air speed indicator is close or matching the target air speed in the table for example .76/280 that can be identified as a reliable airspeed indicator. Again you need to be cautious. So step 7 basically is where you will now change the pitch and thrust in accordance with the weight/altitude/configuration/and phase of flight as per the table and the table header will indicate the target speed (except for the climb phase) and you will have a number to check the speed indicators against. In all cases if in doubt treat all of them as unreliable and use the table for thrust and pitch. Hope that help, Let me know if you have any other questions All the best Abdul
Hello Muhammad, Personally I will leave it till after finishing the NNC both the recall and the actual checklist items,,, After that retracting the flaps is an option, if planning to return to the same field I might leave it extended, Hope that answer your question, and remember this is a personal opinion All the best. Abdul
Hello S G, I believe it is the flaps that will decide. The main point of the recall items is to put the airplane in a safe condition above stall speed and below any limitations.
Sure thing, thanks for the suggestion, It might take me a while to upload it, If you are doing your training now and would Mike to have some clarification, we can set up a call if you like, All the best Abdul
I will try to do one soon Any suggestions for a specific areas to cover about this non normal that you can think of will help me a lot. All the best Abdul
