@@alfredd2689 yes! there is a way to get bluetooth even with a b8.5. Its called bovee audio. Plugs into glove box and allows for bluetooth! or you can just have a AUX cord too
You can get carbon caps for yours. There is a difference in mirrors from b8.5 from b8. Blind spot monitoring. But from b8 s4 to A4 I’m not sure. I think they are the same
Everyone says there different but don’t listen to them the only difference I see is the headlights the hood may be different by the points on the front but that’s all also the bumper but I’d say there interchangeably they just want you to spend you money so once you change your headlights and bumper you should be good to go
petrols are generally more reliable 2013 onward look for different car review's video on the engines diesels on the other hand are p much the same minus some bosch part that can wear out on earlier year cars due to different fuel in easter europe and US but that video really explains in detail
My personal experience has been great! bought the car from a private party with no PPI. Had it fully serviced, and a ppi after I bought it (I know, bad idea). But everything checked out. Since then It has been flawless. Have replaced a lot of things, tires, front wheel bearings, full 75k service, dsg service, diff service, ect. But all that is normal. AKA if you keep up with service these cars are pretty bullet proof! Im actually getting ready to sell mine right now
The Trunk is different on the 8.5 sedan. But only because of the lights. If you got an S4 Avant (I'm pretty sure there is no Avant version in your country, am I right?) you can upgrade to the new lights without any other modifications. I really like the B8 more. The daytime running lights, the grille, the steering wheel which shows the grille on the front and is not flat bottom, and the back lights look so much better. Yes, the lightbar of the 8.5 looks cooler, but the lights itself had a much nicer form in the b8.
totally agree, B8 has so many visual things that are "old school" audi compared to the b8.5. And yes trunk lid is the same although lights are different. In the US, we never got a b8/8.5 s4 avant....sadly, as that is such a sick combination!
You coulda had a V8. B8 S5 is the archetype for that design language. Walt Da Silva made a German car with Italian style and people opted for autobox sedans or fake RS7 Tesla Model S’s? Beyond the B8 getting by vote over the 8.5, the MMI without Bluetooth streaming is ridiculous…. And no, that rear end isn’t even remotely more clean.
And no, that’s absolutely not ‘basically the same steering wheel they used in the B7’. The B7 didn’t have anything like those knuckle grips. They introduced it as round, add 4 years and there weee grips, add 4 more and flat bottom. The white LED display looks off for both of those.
I have the b8 a4 1.8t and I say the b8 looks better than the b8.5 , the black colour on your b8 a4 hides the lines and edges of on the b8 my b8 is monsoon grey and the body lines are more visible than your s4, the black doesn't do it justice , the running day lights on the b8 are better too especially at night I don't put on the fogs though., B8.5 just looks more modern but not better .the b8 is timeless.
Ha, I think its pretty car/maintenance dependent. From my experience with a b8 from 67k-88k with transmission maintenance flush, filter etc. Everything functioned flawlessly! Valid point tho. updates with the b8.5 trans
@@griffenaddie and Sorry man, not everything is maintenance dependent. from what I've heard the Auto trannys were failing because of the computer. the Mechatronic unit (I believe its called) is what fails and you have to replace it. no amount of fluid flushes will save the computer if its faulty.
That makes zero sense. The entire car was updated with the B8. The engine itself is changed with a supercharged V6. which was definitely not in the B7. so you can't really call it a facelift if you're upgrading the cars engine transmission, and suspension, Infotainment system, etc. the B8 and 8.5 is correct they're the exact same car with minor facelifted lights and bumper changes.
