I'm pretty new to shooting but my go to is a B8. "Aim small, miss small" is what I shoot for. I should start cataloguing my targets via phone or maybe one of the apps you recommend. That advanced drill is spicy and I can't wait to be able to do so. Thanks for all you do! Edit: I go to the range with a friend and we have friendly competitions to make it more fun. He's a revolver guy but just purchased a semi-auto pistol so I'll cut him a break for our next time.
I've got a B-8 target (actually B-8 repair center) on my computer which I print at home on 8.5X11 paper. I change the color from black to gray to save on printer ink. I also add color to the X-ring (orange, red, etc.).
Man, I need glasses! I saw the title and thought it said “BB” targets (like for a BB gun) and was thinking, man, this ammo shortage must really be getting bad if John is resorting to BB gun practice now! 😆🤣😂
John is a master instructor...really, a man who relates well to others with also high shooting and teaching skills, thus easily building better shooters, and far more importantly, better people.
I must be honest. I have followed your asp channel for years...but when i checked out your asp extra channel the cat ears made me unable to respect you. But lately i have cringed through it and watched a few videos and you are on point! This combat vet respects all you do and your hard work. Thank you Battle
If the cat ears cause you problems, then that's a you problem not a me problem man. Thinking that somehow shooting is some serious macho thing is a problem.
I guess you missed my point ... I teach ladies and children how to defend themselves more often. I have no problem. You just keep being cute, you big squishy cutie pie lookin like Garfield 😂 and keep up the good work
I have gotten to know Adam Winch a little bit through Defenders USA programing. I participate in the Defenders Live show with Lora Thorson. She is an excellent interviewer and she gets great guests, including a fantastic instructor named Brian Hill. (You might know him, John.) Adam often joins the Live interactive program as well.
@@ASPextra I have missed some of the shows. Unfortunately, I have not caught the other ASP crew members as guests on Defenders. After all the help you guys have been to me over the years, I would never leave any of you out of my comments on purpose. Now that I know y'all have been on, I will go back into the archives and try to find your appearances. As always, thank you for what you do.
@Snapdragon024 - Adam Winch here. I switched due to several influencing factors. I've several close friends who highly recommend them, and then watching the ASP Main Channel kinda sealed the deal for me to at least try out the VP9. Understand, I used to have to carry the H&K USP 45 for a short while when on my SWAT Team and I hated that thing, though it is a good shooter. The USP 45 just didn't fit my hand and felt bulky and I didn't like safety/decocker. Since then, I kinda moved away from anything H&K but when the VP9 was put in my hands, I felt love at first touch. Shooting it was even better, and certainly a better feel in most respects than my mostly stock Glocks. I finally decided to take the plunge and bought a VP9; despite several small things about the gun that aren't optimal to my way of thinking, it really shoots well for me, has performed flawlessly, and I'm glad to carry it.
@@defenders-usa Very interesting. I was curious because I rarely see Glock folks come over to HK so I wasn't sure if John and company had more to do with it. Glad you like it though. I just randomly held a P30 at my local gun store one day and kinda fell in love with it.
