Kalam:- Rasool Mir wagar Budgam
Singer:- Ghulam Ahmad Sofi
Jenab Rasool Mir Sahab was born in village Wagar Budgam in 1896. By profession he was a farmer and was very much influenced by Sufism from his childhood. His spiritual mentor was Qadir lone of Wagar Budgam. Due to the lack of resources most of his poetry could not be preserved. The preserved part was then compiled in his book " Ashq-e-Ahwaal" by his grandchildren Mohammad Akbar Mir and Ghulam Mohammad Mir. In line with sofi tradition Rasool Mir's poetry mainly deals with the basic principles of Sufism like detachment from worldly belongings, zuhad, Taqwa, Parhezgari and preparation for the life in the next world.
Rasool Mir Sahab died on 14th February 1969
at his residence Wagar Budgam and was buried in his native village
