Honestly speaking back rest adds more restriction to the sitting posture for the pilion. I too fitted the backrest in Adventure out of excitement thinking that it would help but instead, it created a lot of pain especially if you are riding long distances. Since you mentioned you are fitting a top box then removing the backrest would add some extra space for your wife to sit.
The truth is RE doesn’t even consider classic legends as its competitor, forget about RE not even Suzuki Vstrom is competing against Yezdi Adventure. The poor built quality over expensive service & third class dealers has plagued the company. Himalayan grew to 450 not because Yezdi was eating any sales, because Himalayan itself is eating market of other bigger ADVs. Yezdi Adv is nothing but an attempt to benchmark RE. A failed attempt rather.
Vstorm also a very good bike light weight comes with tubeless. Yezdi has slight upper hand while performance wise. Offroading me yezdi acha karega highway touring yezdi stable hai
I had test ridden this bike and I found it far more better and nimble than the RE Himalayan 411, the issues that you stated do crop up in the Himalayan as well infact after a time Himalayan completely becomes a khtara and needs a lot of care. The Yezdi Adv no doubt has fit and finish issues, and Mahindra really needs to take this seriously, we had taken a MOJO out for test ride the 1st batch when it was launched and it also had fit and finish issues and this still plagues their 2 wheeled products, another pain in the ass is getting parts for the Yezdi Adv if Mahindra takes care of these issues than I think it's an amazing bike compared to Himalayan 411
You are right I have rode my yezdi till now 9000km I am loving it. I had a problem with my indicator I just emailed yezdi India got a call within 5mins from them and Indictor got replaced even after 7 months

i don't own a bike and i don't drive bikes either. i am just interested in engineering especially designs. i have observed jawa is coming up with bikes trying to beat RE in terms of slightly higher specs and slight changes in design. they mainly copy the overall philosophy of RE and pretend to be better by 1 or 2 points here and there. tell me if i am wrong @@AnshBulletinvlogs
@@humancorp you are right sir but at the end its a satisfaction of a buyer if a buyer paying less then RE to yezdi and getting much more refine engine with some good electronic updates whats a problem in that. All ADV almost look the same with 21inch front tyre huge front suspension travel etc..
i agree. i don't have any opinion about the engine refinement and overall ride quality etc. i take your word for that. i don't have any idea about which bike is good or bad. i am commenting based on the aesthetics. there is a negative perception associated with copying designs. RE designs feel as original and innovative as a bike can be (bike is a bike after all). @@AnshBulletinvlogs
