Baba Allauddin khan was like a ray of light inside darkness . Every empty and lost soul who reached him , found their way and found themselves through music . He was a kind of person who gave everyone everything for his whole life without thinking for a second what he can get back in return from them . If every person in India become like Baba Allauddin khan the world would be a heaven for everyone ❤❤❤❤ , Forget about Bharat ratna , he was a gem of india who deserved more than that , he is inside everyone's heart inside every note of music ❤❤

As a matter of fact Baba was an ocean.So many streams like Annapurna, Ali Akbar Khan,Nikhil banarjee,Ravi sankar,V.G.joge and many more has come out from him by which he achieved immortality after Amir Khoshru and Tansen.

Thank you for sharing this! Baba was beyond exeptional, in talent and in his devotion to music. And, he was a living example of harmony -- religious and musical. For some reason, he is more well known as a teacher, but as this video exemplifies, he was a performing genius too. Thanks again!

I came here to listen to the teacher of two musicians I deeply appreciate: his son Ali Akbar on sarod and his disciple Nikhil Banerjee on sitar. The experience was not unlike listening to the mass in B minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.

I don't know how to describe my feelings hearing this heavenly recital. Baba is the greatest ever.

I came to this after listening to one of the treasures of my music collection. A vinyl Lp after he passed away. Wonderful to see this.

There is a five-CD box set of Allauddin Khansahib's performances from All-India Radio that was released in 1997. (I got my copy at a concert by Ali Akbar Khansahib around 2000 when I was attending his school.) This piece is the first track on the first CD. The Ali Akbar College of Music might be a source for purchasing the set.

Where did you get this recording? Because I haven't found yet music of him recorded, probably because when he lived I suppose there did not exist even lp discs.

Most important of Baba- He was the Guru of Pandit Ravishankar, Ali Akbar Khan and partly Guru of Hariprasad Chourasia too.

@nisa06 there is no restriction about the file size or resolution of the videos.now even videos of upto 1080p are allowed.the restriction is only about duration.but it applies differently to different users.i am yet to understand the rationale

@summelum there is no trick.youtube has different rules.my channel is allowed to upload videos of longer duration

@summelum of course there is a difference between videos being longer than 15 min. long: the higher the quality the higher the file-size, but i have also seen high-quality videos here lasting longer than 1 hour.

any idea who is accompanying on tabla? a brilliant tabla player of the calibre of kanthhe maharaj it would appear. sounds like the string on the sarod broke half way thru the concert. or something has gone wrong with the speed of the recording at a bit after 25 mins.
